When the algorithm only presents a single PAGE result for every search this will hurt many sellers if their item is not on that first page. They are bringing out eBay Catalog where when you list you have to list from their Catalog. When buyer searches on mobile and they see one page results are they going to select from the first page or look further to see what other seller have? In many cases its going to be pot luck to get seen.

I don't think we have to guess on this one. Simply look at how users use Google and other search engines. The middle of the page is already a pretty bad place to be, end of the page is horrendous. You're on the second page? Over 67% of users or more will never see your content. I hope it works out much better than that for those than plan to stick around.
No one is perfect, though a mirror and the right clothes may make some think otherwise.

Thank God I have 306 loyal eBay followers who check all my lots several times a week. Some of these guys buy every week and have done so for some years, and every week new collectors find single items of mine. When they do I ask them to bookmark my eBay UK shop. And check several times a week. The collectibles market is a whole different ball game where a unique item can go from 99 cents to $800.

Very interesting post!
One of my gripes about the laces Adidas was putting on their sneakers several years ago was finding that the lengths of the laces on a given pair were not matched -- typically one was an inch or more longer than the other as if they were cutting them by hand while blindfolded.
Another gripe was the use of weird stiff synthetic materials that made the loops and lace ends stand up like rabbit ears -- a completely retarded look IMO. The loops and lace ends should drape down over the shoe, not stand up and looking retarded.
I appreciate that you've posted useful information, not like the "I don't care" responses posted by others who appear to troll the forum looking for any opportunity to be a nuisance.

Agreed!
If I want the search results to be edited, with the least relevant results culled out, I use the search parameters at the left of the screen to do the culling. From what I've heard so far about Cassini, I wish it would just go away. Sometimes it seems like eBay works overtime to be as annoying as possible instead of fixing their bugs.
A perfect example can be found when I print a USPS Priority Mail International shipping label on eBay. The line spacing in the "Ship to" address is always inadequate such that the lines of the address are touching each other making it more difficult to read. A competent programmer could probably fix that in 5 minutes or less. And this dopey label software always inserts default values (7 x 4 x 4) for the package dimensions regardless of the actual dimensions that are correctly stated on the label-prep page. Another bug that could be easily fixed IMHO. I have repeatedly complained to eBay CS about these issues for over 2 years -- all to no avail.

Whats the bet when single page results are shown first that drop shippers are going to be at the top? Or China sellers. It's going to get harder for the smaller sellers. When you sell an antique book and you don't find it in the upcoming eBay catalog list, select the closest thing? If your product is not found in the eBay catalog what options will they have? I think they are trying to streamline products so all fall under one common type. Not on the first page of those results views will drop.

Well, as of this morning, the View counter seems to be working again -- knock on wood!
Yep ... it only took eBay’s crack team of 3rd world programmers a month to fix this latest glitch. /sarcasm
