Will Ayden fix some of the issues that sellers face?

I watched this video on youtube titled "Why I No Longer Use PayPal · Selling AND Buying" and I could relate entirely with it. (350,000 views - uploaded in december 2017).

I currently do not accept PayPal. I was wondering if Ayden will be a better processor for payments, and if anyone has any experiences with Ayden.

Paypal is required on all listing on eBay.com.  You do accept paypal but might not know it? Look at your completed listings and you will see Paypal as an accepted payment option.

Ayden will just be processing the payment and that is all.  eBay will manage all the other stuff just like Paypal used to do.

You will not have real dealing with Ayden.  eBay will just hand off the payment info for them to process the payment.  They will come back with an approved or declined and eBay will handle everything after that.

I think you have more issues than worrying about the payment processor.  Your listing look highly suspicious and probably not eBay compliant.

Not true if you use your own merchant account.

The only thing required to sell here is an Ebay compliant electronic payment processor. Since most sellers don't have merchant accounts, they use Paypal.

The easier you are to offend the easier you are to control.

Adyen processes payments for Etsy. They have since the beginning of this year or last year, I forget which. If you've ever bought or sold there since that time, Adyen has processed the payment.

I am pretty sure paypal is still required when a seller uses a merchant account.  At least when we set up our merchant account,  Paypal was required to show as well?  It might have changed but I doubt it.

Ayden will not be doing any of that.  eBay will be managing all the aspects except the processing of the payment.

It depends on your category. Some allow either/or PayPal or merchant account, some categories require PayPal despite having a merchant account.

https://www.ebay.com/help/policies/payment-policies/accepted-payments-policy?id=4269

In most categories, sellers have to accept PayPal, credit cards or debit card processed through the seller's internet merchant account, or both.

Is it possible posters will learn how to spell Adyen by the time it is implemented? I'm guessing at least 75% of posters spell it wrong.

Then they shouldn't have chosen such a hard to remember name! LOL  I try to remember and sometimes I still get it wrong. I keep telling myself AD YEN.  AD YEN. Maybe I should put up a sticky note here on my monitor to remind me?

Spell it whatever way you want.  It still works the same way.

It's probably meaningful in the Netherlands. When it's not a US based company sometimes we have to adjust Smiley Happy

Let the drug dealers of the world handle our money.  It makes perfect sense.
