I listed a NECA Ace Ventura lot 3 days ago, 3 views, I search those 3 words in that order & my listing doesn't even exist. Why? Same thing happened last time I tried to sell same item(s), I think It finally showed up in searches because it sold but forgot how long it took.

I had to change my address to California since I am in Canada, but on my "Highest Price First" search, your dolls were seventh on the list, including one two doll lot which was priced higher than yours.
Same with Best Match.

Looks like you may be priced to high compared to others. For both it looks like the price is between $60 & $80. Not to mention that these have slow sell thru rate to begin with(only selling the ace ventura) and your trying to sell both of them so it may be a much slower sell thru. I'd suggest lowering your price to maybe $60 or $70 + shipping or list them as separate items instead of bundled.
Just remember that even if you do that, the sell thru rate is still going to be slow and will still take time for it to move.

Stop revising the listing! Every time you revise it will get kicked out of Search results until it's re-indexed, You listed this on the 2nd, revised it early on the 3rd and then again twice today. The re-indexing can be relatively fast (an hour or two) or could take as long at 24 hours (fairly rare) but in any event for a certain period after a revision it will not be found in a regular search.

People don't search by 'category' (most) so I would be getting rid of some of those words and be sure to add 'action figures' and 'dolls' in the title. NECA would be last on the title and words like 'retro' are not words people will use.
As well as pricing as stated by others- you CANNOT be higher priced and expect people to buy.

I Am Almost Always Priced Higher Than Everyone Else, There Are Plenty Of Sellers Here That Do Not Know What Their Doing Or What Their Selling, So They Price Everything Low, Others Are Lowering Prices Just To Make Sales, Or Their Dumping Their Inventory Trying To Leave, I Refuse To Compete With That & Lose My Shirt!

Yeah I don't feel the need to be the lowest either but I make up for it by promoting if I have any sort of decent competition.
02-04-2023 01:47 PM
I will also add that I don't promote my items that I feel like I'm the lowest price for (or of course if I'm the only one that has the item).
So depending on the item I either go for spending more to promote because I want to list higher than people who are ridiculously low or trying to be the lowest when everyone else is decently High and saving by not promoting.

NECA Ace Ventura I find it, but it's deeper down.
Just adding shady bumps it to 2nd place
I can do NECA Ace, and shows up spot 5 on the 1st page
Edit: all searches done as "best match".

My question wasn't in regard of any pricing issue, I searched for it & couldn't find it.

It's the revisions that are making your item invisible.
So don't do that.
I tend to agree with @sapphire_studio that Promoted Listings do seem to bring attention to the item.
I certainly see that on my esoteric items. Most philatelic items are close to OOAK to a serious collector.
A Canadian seller (also a stamp dealer) has been experimenting with offering buyers discounts and promoting similar items. So far (and he emphasizes that the experiment is far from over) PL is ahead of discounts.
One reason might be that a 2%or even 10% PL pushes the listing up in Search, while a 10% or even 15% discount is often considered piddling.

Okay. That's great for you but I was speaking to the OP. It's all category dependent. I sell clothes, lets say I try and sell a basic large nike t shirt with a swoosh logo on the front. Because the sell thru rate is low for those specific shirts, if I'm the highest priced(relevant to the market) then I will be pushed all the way down to the bottom. Now, lets say I list a pair of lululemon ABC pants size 32x32, pre-owned and clean with no defects. I can price higher than everyone else and still be close to the top because the sell thru rate is so high(over 200%) and either they will sell for what I listed them for or I will get an offer and accept it(so long as it's reasonable). It all depends on what you are selling.
Aside from what you are selling, sell thru rate is extremely important and a lot of sellers do not realize this.

sell thru rate.
aside from what you are selling, sell thru rate is very very important. If what you are trying to sell has a low sell thru rate then regardless of how much you price it for, it will still take a long time to sell depending on the STR percentage.
With that being said, if the item you are trying to sell has a low sell thru rate AND you have it priced higher than everyone else then expect it to take even longer for it to sell.

Don't forget that ebay does not show ALL search results. YOU also need to click on this to see see more items.

IME all bundling items does is discourage sales. You might have a buyer who would like to buy one of the items in the bundle but not the others, so a buyer who would otherwise have purchased ends up skipping right over your listing instead. I find it's much better to list things singly so that someone can purchase them together if they'd like but isn't forced into doing so.
