In the forums it's still the original multicolor but I just noticed recently that everywhere else it's all red now. Is this change just some $100,000 a year eBay programmer trying to earn his keep?

Red is the color of blood, we all spill ours to make this site what it is.......and the TRUE "owners" of E-way just lap it up...

The Google logo changes literally every day. But there are some days when I go there multiple times and sometimes it's the daily theme and then others it's the generic "Google" so maybe it's just all chance.

The all red logo is a high priority defect. We intend to resolve it asap. Sorry for the inconvenience. In the meantime, we would prefer it if you not visit ebay.

The red represents where eBays stock price has been all year.

I routinely change my opening logo to match the seasons. Normally it is a Medieval castle with Richard the Lionheart at the gate welcoming travelers. But for the holidays I add an extra design feature. Open any of my listings and see for yourself.

That's just typical for this site, but you'd think even outsourced IT would be able to google a USPS Holidays calendar. (or that someone else would at least oversight it)

I just assumed it was in honor of Veteran's Day this weekend and to commemorate the end of WWI. Maybe eBay is being all patriotic and supporting our troops.

Yes, I also had a panic attack thinking that I had landed on a spoof website.
I don't know why companies feel the need to screw around with stuff like this.
Plus, the trademark of their multicolor logo wouldn't carry over to the all red text,
so why screw around with that, too? SMH

The logo turns red if there is excess steam pressure in the boiler. Someone should look into that.
