In the forums it's still the original multicolor but I just noticed recently that everywhere else it's all red now. Is this change just some $100,000 a year eBay programmer trying to earn his keep?

But we all know what the rainbow colored letters were created for. Not that there is anything wrong with that.

I thought either eBay was hacked or I was rerouted to a phishing web site. The look of a cheap logo gives the impression of being an impostor site--unprofessional--no appeal in the logo. (Now this plain red san serif logo) This creates uncertainty with trust in the site. As a corporate decision, it's even more distasteful. Most businesses benefit from the Christmas season sales spikes. Starbucks' holiday cup and now this plain red hack of a logo gives me the impression of carelessness or even distaste for the their most profitable season.
