There is a negative comment in my feedback that is very old. Very much over a year ago and it is still showing. I was wondering why it it still there. I thought negatives and neutrals were gone after 1 year

Another thing, some buyers carry the myth that some sellers are able to get all their negs removed no matter what the details. So if you put yourself behind the eyes of one of those buyers, a 100% pos may not be the badge of trustworthy excellence the seller thinks it is.
After reading the recent thread by the seller offended that feedback removal is more difficult now since they have lost their 16 complimentary removals per year, I'm of a mind to distrust feedback more now too.

What I think you are experiencing is noticing a recent change where in the mobile app you can see negative feedbacks that are over a year old. I guess in the browser you could always see them but it's only recently they started showing up in the app. Like others have said the rule where they disappear after a year is only the percentage not the actual comment.

I'm starting to wear them like a badge now. It's a right of passage if you will.
I stopped even trying to fight them. I have found trying to do something about the negative usually ended up with me keeping the negative and losing both the item and the money.

Doing various searches by "Newly Listed" with 240 listings on screen:
'Shirt' - 104 sellers had 100% feedback (43%)
'Book' - 39 sellers had 100% feedback (16%)
'iPhone' - 58 sellers had 100% feedback (24%)
'vinyl record' - 174 sellers had 100% feedback (73%)
'video card' - 128 sellers had 100% feedback (53%)
Admittedly this is a very quick and crude measure.

Wow, that's quite a variety of percentages! Ranging from only 16% of book sellers up to 73% of vinyl sellers having 100% feedback ratings. Thank you for taking the time to do all that research; as noted above I had been wondering whether category made a difference.
