Why is eBay showing items at higher prices than I listed?

Some of my items are showing at 5-6 GBP higher than the price I listed them, even though that is the price in my list of active items. If I click on them or search for them, the price is higher. I am worried that this puts off potential buyers or that if I lower the price accordingly I will obviously lose money. Can anyone help?

If your listings are in GBP, then you're listing on the eBay UK site, and I think you'd be better off posting your question on the eBay UK discussion boards in case other sellers using the UK site are having this issue:

It's possible that this is because eBay is required to collect VAT on sales to the UK and EU, for private sellers (like yourself) who are not registered for VAT. You are listing on eBay UK, where the standard VAT rate is 20%.

VAT is always included in the selling price in the UK and EU. Business and professional sellers who are VAT registered, are responsible for collecting the VAT themselves by including VAT in the selling price. For private sellers, eBay is required to collect the VAT, so it is added on to the selling price.

Same here, all my 500 listings shows higher prices, very low sales in the last 2 weeks.

Ebay confirmed it is an issue, and mostly all sellers are facing the same issue, this resulted in such a low sale on ebay, it is also confirmed on other platforms.

When it will be fixed? Unknown....

Since you are both registered in the UK and selling on eBay.co.uk, you appear to be affected by this glitch which is currently being discussed on the eBay UK community. It appears that VAT is being incorrectly added to the purchase price, for items which should not have VAT added.

Just select edit all dont change anything and press submit all . It will take about 5 minutes for the listing to update after the edit  but this should revert the price back to normal.
