Why is a credit card required to open a store??

I wouldn't mind trying a basic store with 250 free listings a month but, I don't have a credit card.  Why is it that I can pay my monthly fees with PayPal but, cannot open a store without a cc to pay my fees?  Nonsense!  Cheers!

You can still pay your fees via PayPal but eBay wants a backup funding source for fees, refunds, return labels etc.

Your account is very old, eBay (Canada for sure) have required a credit card on file for sellers for probably 10 years or more.

If you don't have and can't get a regular credit card you might be able to use a pre-paid Visa or M/C.

Can't you use a debit card? If you have a bank account, one is automatically attached so you can access a ATM. ~~C~~
