eBay says they don’t see the problem on their side,

How bizarre! Never seen that before.

Your FAQ are controlled here:
https://www.ebay.com/cnt/ManageBuyerCommunication
eBay recently added our FAQ to the app, then it went away, and now it's back. See this announcement:

@junken-treasure
It is not clear to me if this "Out of office" contact info is appearing on all of your own listings, OR you reported a listing and you got the bot response that there was nothing wrong with the listing. That item number produces no results.

All listings. I’m a small potatoes seller (250 items) and maybe this is a new feature, but a hacker hit all my accounts in one shot. I can’t remove them, but I can edit one at a time by clicking on that section of the listing without being in my eBay or “revise.” There is obviously a security issue.

FYI - Looking at the listing on the desktop and I don't see any of this.

I didn’t put it there, a hacker did. I’m not cryptox…. And I can’t remove it en mass. And I’ve been to all those links - nada. This only appears on the app for android. And yes, I deleted the app, reinstalled
and it’s still there. Grrrrrrr!,,

@junken-treasure
Just in case, I would change my password to eBay just for starters. It seems to me that unless "wires" were crossed somewhere, a person would have to add that Q&A
I looked at plenty of your listings from a P.C. (Chrome/Win 10) and did not see any evidence of this either as stated by @slippinjimmy . I tried the "contact seller" from your listings and it produced no Q&A section or message like that.
App problem? Hopefully this problem can be solved. Let us know how it turns out. Did you take down the listing that was in the screen shot?

Shows up on handheld Android only. Something’s up and eBay dismissed it because they can’t see it… btw, it doesn’t show on my desktop or tablet either. Just the phone app.

OK I can help explain why you can only edit one at a time.
There are Q&A at the account level. They are managed on the website. That's the link I provided above.
Then there are Q&A at the listing level. They are managed on the app.
So you were hacked and the *bleep* added the Q&A at the listing level which means to revise them you have to do it one-by-one.
In the app when you go into the edit screen for Q&A you'll see 2 tabs. One is "this listing" and one is "all listings." The hacker hit "this listing."

Hey @junken-treasure - wanted to check back in with you on this after I had time to get a couple of screenshots together.
Let's start with: you said your accounts were hacked. How long ago was this? If you didn't report it through eBay you should do that. Process here: https://www.ebay.com/help/account/protecting-account/get-help-hacked-account?id=4196
As for the Q&A, it would be very odd for the hacker to have added that on every individual listing through the app during the very short lived period it was available on the app a few months ago. It's far more likely they added it at the account level.
Edit to add: that screenshot you posted is cut off, but just below the Q&A on the app it shows the date - that will tell you exactly when the hacker added it and how long it's been sitting on your account.
Can you re-check to make sure? From your Account Settings page click on Manage Communications with Buyers. On that page you'll see an edit link next to FAQs.
Then click the edit link which will take you to the manage FAQs page.
https://www.ebay.com/cnt/ManageSellerFAQ
On that page, click the down arrow next to every topic to look for the hackers email. Check Other and Item Details and every section available.
If you find the info is at the account level you can easily delete through that page. Important: Do not forget to click the Submit button at the bottom after you delete the FAQs. It's so easy to miss that step.

I've been using FAQ for years and it's been incredibly helpful to my business. The only part that's new is eBay is finally working on adding them to the app instead of a web-exclusive as it's been all this time.
They're not mandatory. Don't like them? Don't want them? Don't use them.
