Why does ebay think that first class from Fl to Or is 3 days?

another 'guaranteed delivery" that will be late.

So much fun to take eBay's money....

that could be because of the time difference as Hawaii is behind the mainland in time coming here but gains time going to the East Coast.

Re: Why does ebay think that first class from Fl to Or is 3 days?

I have gotten late shipments even though all my items are scanned within 1 day even though I have 2 days listed for shipping. It's because the seller says it did not arrive within the time. Ebay even notified me that my extra handling time means nothing to them when figuring out late shipping.
Also late shipments do eventually result in higher fees because it determines your ranking with Ebay. Once a high percentage of late occurs your ranking decreases dramatically so the seller is not considered an acceptable seller.

Rely to "I don’t see how the time zones would be a factor once an item has been shipped as shipping and arrival time are based on Pacific Time."

This is absolutely NOT true. Are you saying that it is fair to reduce the shipping time for East Coast sellers by 4/5 hours or add 2/3 hours onto Hawaii sellers. Time starts when my scan is done not even counting when the PO finally sends it off island.

of course the question was not about Hawaii. I was trying to say that if Ebay only gives 3 days to get from one Coast to another but things are much worse for Hawaii sellers - just demonstrating how ridiculous some of the rules are.

Any of my first class hipped anywhere has been delivered in 3 days.

That is when there wasn't any weather as the one we are witnessing now.

Same here for any that I have checked, including from Seattle to Puerto Rico.

List more, sell more. Goodwill that other, uh, stuff.

Feeling sleepy? There's an app for that.

Who is taking eBay's money?

What if Ebay guaranteed delivery is late?
Sellers can sign-up for more information by visiting eBay's Guaranteed Deliverypage. * If a guaranteed item arrives late, the buyer can request to have their cost ofshipping refunded. If the shipping was free, then the buyer will receive a coupon to be used towards their next eBay purchase.

Depending on whether or not there was a shipping cost specified, or if it was free shipping, drives what option is available to the buyer.
