In the forlorn hope that some Ebay clerk reads this message board, I am wondering why Ebay sends me a message that I just sent a counter offer immediately after I just sent the counter offer. Do they think I am unware of my actions over the previous 10 seconds? Alas, just another unwanted Ebay message that must be deleted without reading.

perhaps when you sent the counteroffer, you had it set up that way?

I like to keep a record of all messages received and sent for my records, since I have a record of what is happening.

Yes similar to the numerous e-mails I get every other day to receive a 30.00 eby credit if I take their credit card or borrow money from them.

My favourite are the emails I get every couple of weeks reminding me to respond to feedback from buyers who either cancelled(whatever reason) and chose not to pay. To my mind, leaving thank you for not paying sounds a snarky but all I can come up with.

Not sure if you were able to figure anything out as far as filtering the messages on ebay, but I was getting these also to my gmail account... which kind of turn out to be a headache and there was nothing in communication preferences. So, I created a filter that blocks ebay from sending messages that contain the words: "counter offer."
