Why is this still not an option? If someone is rude, not willing to work with you, then leaves you negative feedback, how can I make sure others now? eBay used to be a great place to sell and between these all these "fees" I now see, no defense for crazies who harass me, and the pure aggravation, I am ready to dump this website and just have a freaking yard sale somewhere on occasion. This is unbelievable. When did we get paypal shipping fees? WHY IS THAT A THING? Is anyone even listening to our feedback or valuing the seller? Seems like we're getting the **bleep** end of every deal here. Unbelieveable.

It is not just you OP. Many think a refund should make a buyer happy but feedback is the buyer's opinion of the transaction and refunds do not always a make a buyer happy. Allowing you to give a negative to an unhappy buyer is considered a retaliatory feedback and Ebay does not allow that.

The final value fee on shipping happened awhile ago. It was from people selling items for super cheap and then charging a lot for shipping to avoid the FVF. A few ruined it for everyone.

I had a customer claim slow shipping even though it was sent out the next day. They left neutral feedback and never responded to my message when trying to make it right. Sent ebay a message about unfair feedback a month ago and still have not heard back. Seems kind of weird having to stand on tip toes worried about my rating all the time but I guess there is nothing we can do about it? I'm still a new seller but amazon has the same rating system basically.

"Why do we not leave feedback for sellers anymore!?!?"
Who said that & who is "we"?
Your statement is very confusing...well it is to me.
Your reply to the neg is...um...interesting.

Ebay changed the rule in 2008 where buyers could no longer receive negative or neutral feedback, so it's been awhile. The final value fees on shipping has also been in place for years now, can't recall the date exactly, could have been 2010-2011.

Your reply is your chance to show your side and reassure future buyers that you are a great seller who works hard and wants to deliver a quality product.
Your reply tells me you admit to underdescribing your items and that you're probably a teenager who cannot express herself without swearing.

If you are asking why a seller can't leave negative feedback for a buyer, that was eliminated around 2008. A seller is given the opportunity for a follow-up.
Sorry, but follow-ups are important to offer a snippet of how you are to deal with as a seller or to explain your side. Your follow-up didn't address the accusation and merely stated you gave a refund so the buyer should be happy. If I were to consider buying from you and cared about looking at feedback, I would get the impression you aren't careful with your descriptions, and if I'm not happy about wasting my time looking and buying from you, I get a refund and have to start over.
That follow-up doesn't help your side, and actually sort of justifies the buyer's feedback as accurate and thus fair. I won't even dignify the rest of your follow-up as serious if that is a crude acronym rather than just a typo.

Why is this still not an option?
It used to be an option, but sellers abused it and used it to retaliate against legitimate feedback ... like a buyer who was aggravated that a defect was not described in a listing.
If someone is rude, not willing to work with you, then leaves you negative feedback, how can I make sure others now?
When a seller receives a reasonable-sounding negative, he can always leave a sarcastic followup that belittles the buyer, shows no hint of contrition or apology, and makes the seller look like the one who is crazy.
I now see, no defense for crazies who harass me, and the pure aggravation, I am ready to dump this website
There is no defense for sellers against the aggravation of dealing with people who expect defects to be described in a listing.
When did we get paypal shipping fees? WHY IS THAT A THING?
It happened quite a few years ago. It happened because eBay was pushing sellers to offer free shipping, and it was a way to remove the the financial penalty for doing so. At the same time, eBay also lowered some final value fees - for isntance the FVF on CD, movies, and media dropped from 13% to 10%.
Is anyone even listening to our feedback or valuing the seller? Seems like we're getting the **bleep** end of every deal here.
Yes, there is someone "listening". They are listening to the fact that despite the rules they have in place, there are still 1 billion items listed and the vast majority of sellers have not left.

Subject Title Correction made ...
<<Why is this still not an option? If someone is rude, not willing to work with you, then leaves you negative feedback, how can I make sure others know?>>
Negative feedback for buyers went away in 2008... nine years ago. No other retailer on the planet allows a seller to publicly berate a buyer (small private swap groups don't count as a "retailer"). It's bad for Business, and chases buyers away, not only from that particular seller, but from eBay as a whole.
Buyers expect the item they ordered, in the condition stated, shipped in the stated time. And ... polite, professional, timely responses if something goes wrong.
"Working with" a buyer does not mean you send them something Not as Described and then just refund them when they complain. A refund does not make a bad transaction magically positive.
The follow-up that you left on the buyer's feedback is very telling ... if your messages to them had the same tone, then I can understand why they were unhappy 😞
If your buyer reports your "crazy af" comment, YOU will be the one with a violation.
<<When did we get paypal shipping fees? WHY IS THAT A THING?>>
PayPal has always charged on total amount of the sale. The fee is for processing the payment ... The whole payment.
If you are asking about the eBay FVF on shipping ... eBay changed its fee structure in July 2011...six years ago.
They went from a tiered structure to a flat percentage on everything depending on category and store/non-store. Most rates went down at that time, but they changed to an FVF on Total Price instead of just item price.
This change cut down on shipping price gouging and fee avoidance. It was also eBay's first salvo in their ongoing attempt to coerce sellers into using "Free" shipping.

There's a seller I definitely wouldn't buy from. Unprofessional responses to bad feedback automatically make me not bid with that seller even if it's just a single feedback.

As had been said, a refund doesn't make it a great buying experience. Buyer was upset because the item description did not specify damage or defects.
Professional responses, an apology, no name calling, can protect your future business. Buyers who see a bad response, name calling, in your feedback for another buyer will feel uneasy buying from you.
Buyer can call Ebay CS and get that reply removed, you will get a policy violation.
Buyers feel they are getting a bad deal when they buy something, and find out it is not as described.
Good Luck to you.

I need to proofread before hitting "post."
That should say "trashed BUT wearable."
