I fail to understand why it is so hard for eBay to maintain a uniform user experience across devices? Whether it is between different browsers, operating systems, or phones there is no consistency. That is one of Apple's few strong points and why they have been so successful. If at minimum the cosmetics should be consistent.
As a seller it is hard to plan a listing when there is no way to know what the buyer will see. If my buyers are having an issue they are not going to want to play 20 questions to resolve it. If I need to change something on a listing I can't easily figure out how to do it on the mobile app when I am used to the desktop site. Overall I think it would improve selling efficiency if there was more uniformity on the site.

I wonder if part of the problem might be in not having an in-house tech department, big enough and skilled enough, that does the work, instead of 3rd party vendors? Sort of like having an integrated system, rather than 'teams' that need teams to communicate.
