Why can't I switch to classic view on my iphone?

I am really upset at eBay.  I cannot do anything if I am away from home because I have not been able to switch to classic view on my iphone for months now.   When I Click on the classic site at the bottom it stays in mobile version, nothing happens. What can I do to override the defaulting to mobile version?  Do I need to delete the app to force it to classic site?

On the Safari browser, try clicking the aA at the upper-left (next to the address bar) and click on Request Desktop Website.

I still do not fully understand the mobile site/classic site modes -- the browser seems to revert back to the mobile version with no particular pattern that I can see. Perhaps some pages will just not render in classic mode any longer.

If you prefer the mobile version, you may be better off sticking with that or using the eBay app.

Otherwise, try requesting the desktop site version of the page; once you have done that, so long as you open all links in the same tab, that browser tab should remain in desktop mode.
