Can anyone explain to me why my items are not selling on eBay I have done so well with auctions but found I was losing money I really don't understand because the items are priced lower than anyone else's on eBay

Knowing nothing about trains or size-my guess is your shipping cost. $ 24 to ship a train to me in California seems way too high.

Don't know anything about trains either, but have you checked comparable sold prices?

My prices are lower then almost every one else's

took me 2 seconds to find this "NIB" cheaper
Lionel Bobing Rhino Transport Car 6-16725 NEW in Box
that being said.......
cheaper is not always the cure.....there is perceived value, as well as how you previous customers liked the packing, etc.....
many of the sellers have a following, and will pay the extra for the reliability and peace of mind that buying from that seller gives them....

Your shipping costs are way way too high.

That is so frustrating because I use the eBay calculated shipping tool it does not seem to be very accurate I've done great with auctions And have nothing but positive feedback

You need both demand and value. Have you tried promoting your items anywhere?

Why not try Auctions again?

You very likely are entering very over-estimated weights of your items into the listings when you make them. If you've "done great with auctions", that generally probably means the buyers were taking that shipping price into account on the total amounts they were willing to bid. This means your auction prices would have probably gone higher if you had more reasonable shipping in the listings.
Since you are setting BIN prices, the shipping is breaking you from getting sales as most buyers are seeing that facet versus what others (including other sites) are offering. While I'm not that versed on the items you are offering, I know well enough that it realistically doesn't cost what you're asking on site to ship them.
Suggestion: Get a scale to weigh your items. Then add about 1-2 oz for packing materials and you should be set a lot better. Also, be sure to explore all the options that your shipper provides - if you got a heavy item, switching to "Flat Rate" versus "Priority Mail" (in USPS's case), might help you.

You may have the lowest price but that is before your shipping charges, which are high considering the size of what you are selling.

Can you add brighter photos to your listings? Some of them are too dark to see what the item looks like.
Some times the lowest price is not the best price. Buyers may question the quality of the item if it is the cheapest.

since I am checking out your listing get rid of this
"...being sold "as is" due to their age...."
you accept returns, so it is a negative connotation...
what does that mean? sold as is? If I buy it, and it is not as described, it is "as is"...but I can return it....see what I mean...your whole description gives the impression that you are a novice in the train field....
also, your description on this item (Lionel Bobing Rhino Transport Car 6-16725 NEW in Box.) has a few typos
"...find wrong with the tain cars"
"...possible all no Reserve Actions"
sometimes typos 'turns off' buyers (you got all the big words right, LOL)
and, either you copied a competitor, or he copied you, or neither of you created your own "item specifics"
yes, i realize that some have to be identical, but neither listing specifies the "Rhino Transport Car" I see higher priced sold listings had the 6-16725 designation in the specifics (not specifically this box car, but other sold items for higher prices)
just some food for thought....

So would you go through every listing and change them or just bulk edit them and add a new description?
