Why are my Sold items still showing up as "ACTIVE" inventory?

I have recently noticed that I items that we have sold, that are one of a kind listings, are still showing up as "active" items in our inventory. When you click on the item - it says its sold - but why is it still showing up AND renewing as part of our listings? This has been happening over the past month or so. 

Today for example,  I went in to set "promoted" listings on items and sold out items were showing up  on that list for me? They shouldn't be active still once sold.

This happened to me, I sold an item this month and seen it yesterday in my actives. This has to be a glitch. I hope there is no more. I deleted the active item and deleted that item out of the unsold.So it should be completely out of all listings.Notified ebay by email in case of another sold item that is in active and I have to cancel if it resales a second time.
