I have recently noticed that I items that we have sold, that are one of a kind listings, are still showing up as "active" items in our inventory. When you click on the item - it says its sold - but why is it still showing up AND renewing as part of our listings? This has been happening over the past month or so.
Today for example, I went in to set "promoted" listings on items and sold out items were showing up on that list for me? They shouldn't be active still once sold.

Maybe because all fixed price listings are now considered good to canceled?

Thanks, I will check that but have NEVER used that function before. Pretty well everything we list is one offs.

I am going to parrot what other sellers have already said here. Go check your settings and see if you have the OOS - Out Of Stock fature/option enabled, because that is what it sounds like what is happening in your case. The setting is all inclusive. Either your account has it enabled or it doesn't. If it is enabled then it applies to all of your listings, whether they're one offs or multi quantity listings.
I use the OOS feature myself. When I sell a one off I have to go into my active listings and end that one off listing manually.

I'm going to go the other way...
Check your store see if they are still listed there as well.
Magic listings have a way of popping back up weeks, even MONTHS later getting sold and the seller is stuck with an Out of Stock Cancel on listings they didn't relist, ebay did.
The glitch is known on the boards, and to SOME eBay staff, but they can't or won't do anything about it unless you can prove beyond a shadow of a doubt you didn't list the item. I could prove MINE simply because I never ever listed from eBay, ONLY from Auctiva and the listing had been listed on eBay's site.
I would also make sure to clear out your unsolds weekly to try and combat the problem.

I did an auction for an item. It sold and I shipped. A week later a buyer asked a question about an item that looked familiar. I checked and sure enough, ebay relisted the listing that had sold. I am just grateful it was caught before it sold again. Now I have to wonder how many more of these are out there and if I overlook one and it sells, will I be held responsible?

That also happened to me, luckily I saw it before it sold again. Anyway, some reason this happened to me twice, and the second time, it disappeared by it self. I have no idea why this happens.
