I answered a question for a buyer with a picture...correcting them using a photo from a catalog.
I hate the fact it shows : 'reply' or 'reply with offer'...I don't do make me an offer or like in the TV show "Let's Make a Deal".
I ended blocking the buyer and not responding to his second email.
Am I wrong?

Hi James. When blocking a potential buyer, there is no right or wrong answer. Your instincts seem pretty sharp to me.
If this was my buyer, i probably would not block. My usual practice is to give them the information they are inquiring about, regardless of its silliness or stupidity, whether the info is in the listing, etc.
There are 5 IDs on my block list, that’s about one every three years. Those names went on the list for illegal acts/threats. My risk tolerance tends to be high.

You're not wrong, but I wouldn't block. The buyer is seemingly new to philately, so they're asking a question.
I'm also assuming they're using Stanley Gibbons, and are simply confused with Scott. I definitely wouldn't block.

When someone asks a question. It may seem simplistic to an expert on the merchandise you're selling. But to the novice, it may be an important question even if it's a silly mistake. . Everyone at one point has to learn. Don't block the potential buyer, unless there's some severe red flags.

Sellers always complain the buyers don't ask questions and do returns because they didn't ask first.
But it appears it's better not to ask questions and just return.

I only block when a buyer sends me a ridiculous lowball offer continously, also when a buyer keeps messaging me question after question , I just block them because if they are that much of a pest, I don't want problems with them after they receive there order, just not worth it.
