I have looked and few have asked about this. One provided a solution that worked for me for a few weeks. Now I can find absolutely no way to see who is following my account. Why would eBay do away with this? Is there a way to see who is following us anymore?

That's probably one of the reasons they removed the feature--because sellers were spamming people.

I have built a data base on all my buyers over the past ten years so I don't pay attention to who is following my store. Now that you mention it I will go check.

There have been some threads posted about this change. This one, for example:
Do you know how to find threads on a particular topic? Just go to the search bar within the big blue banner that says "This board," select where you want to search, and type in keywords that might be pertinent. I typed in just the word "followers" and found a number of threads voicing your same concern.

Yes I did that but haven't seen any real solutions. We need an official eBay response to this I think. I am an eBay old timer (since 1999) and do not like the big changes that have bee taking place. There is no reason to take away the ability to see who is following our stores

Under our profile, we can still see how many followers, but any link to knowing who those followers are has been removed...why? who knows...
seems to be just another move by eBay to "hide" and make buyers as invisible/anonymous as possible...

Why would you need to know who's following you? Seriously asking. Is it a social media type thing? I mean, I have favorite sellers and get emails when they list new stuff, as a buyer that's all I need to know.
As a seller I don't even know where to look to see if anyone is following me or not.

Over the years eBay has been making it harder to contact buyers outside of an actual transaction -- likely in part for privacy reasons, but also to prevent possible off-eBay transactions from being arranged (some of which can turn out to be scams).
Following a seller is primarily a benefit to buyers. Sellers only benefit indirectly from added sales.

"Over the years eBay has been making it harder to contact buyers outside of an actual transaction -- likely in part for privacy reasons, but also to prevent possible off-eBay transactions from being arranged (some of which can turn out to be scams)."
Which is why you need to be proactive and create a data base of your buyers email contact and physical addresses. Problem solved and you have a blast list source for future endeavors.

The main reasons I want to know is due to followers who have purchased from me in the past and for "locals" who try to figure out what I am sourcing for selling. I guess it isn't a huge deal, but the main question for me is why?

As a buyer, if I knew sellers were going to spam me with their further endeavors, I'd avoid buying from them. I get enough spam. Just sayin'.

I juar saw that data. My number is 75, but I don't remember where I saw it. But it is not hidden.
Crazy people.

The number isn't hidden. Up until about 4 months ago you could click on that number and see your followers

If you knew the user names of your followers what would you do with that information?
Block them?
Spam them?
Interfere with their other buying activities?
Knowing how many of your followers are actual buyers might be interesting but it's not very reliable info. I follow some sellers but the id I follow them under is rarely the ID I actually use to buy. Generally it's either one of my selling id's or one of my posting id's since I only log in with my buying id when I actually want to buy something.

Then what are your reasons?
I read "The main reasons I want to know is due to followers who have purchased from me in the past and for "locals" who try to figure out what I am sourcing for selling." I didn't really get what you meant by either of those statements.
