I cannot in the world understand who possibly benefits from ebay hiding item descriptions by default to cell phone customers.
All that does is dramatically increase returns and decrease customer satisfaction as people make incorrect purchases based on a single photo.
Who made that decision and how much more would my ebay stock be worth if they had never been allowed to do such a thing?

This is a HUGE issue and most people arent recognizing how detrimental it is, because everyone who reads these boards already KNOWS how to navigate around EBay (for the most part)
But for buyers who dont look at ebay all the time, or occasional buyers, or new buyers, they arent even seeing that an "item description" is even available. How do I know this? Because over the last 2 months every time I get a question when the information is in the "item description", I ask them, and not one person has said they even knew about that before. At least a dozen inquiries in the last month or so.
My returns have more than doubled over the last year vs the previous 7 years, and in most cases the information was in the item description.
This is the exact same issue as making it like Wheres Waldo to find a sellers promotions. We as daily users of ebay find things, but the average seller doesnt even know promotions may be available unless they click on the item description... DUHHH... but many people dont know theres an item description!
Promos use to show up just like discounts, but now its like unlocking a secret code, and buyers arent seeing them. I have over 800 items in a promotion, it used to be 20% of my business for years... now? crickets.
All of these decisions have been made to monetize the space for ads and promoted listings, and its so poorly thought out and terribly executed theres no way ebays ad revenue is making up for the business its losing for the trade off. I honestly dont thing anyone in a decision making role at ebay has ever sold a thing or run a business in their lives
