I am trying to add a counter to my listings but so far without any luck. Ebay “HELP” says that:
“The counter appears at the bottom of your listing page. You can select from three styles: basic, retro-computer, and hidden.
To add a counter to your listing when you're listing an item:
Note: This option isn't available in the quick listing tool.”
I am using the advanced listing tool and NOT the “quick listing tool” but I have scoured the forms and templates and cannot find anything called the “Visitor Counter” section. I have tried on a number of different browsers to make sure there was not something specific to a browser but still no luck.
Is there something I am missing?

I think it's automatically added to listings these days........shows up on your Active listing page in SH

Dang! Well this has also been happening to my Listings. I can only see the head count on my Summary Seller Active Page. I too am unable to see the counter app selection that's said to be at the bottom of the item description text field. I am using the HTML field to add my coded sales campaign. Do I switch back to the basic TYPE field to see the counter below? There was a time in the early 2000's when I could see the counter app selection all the time on Ebay.

I can't find it either. I have a visible counter on my listings and decided a few months ago that I want to change it to a hidden counter, and I can't find any way to do that. I make new listings by doing "sell similar" on an existing listing, and there are no counter options showing for me on that form at all. So I tried making a new listing using the "sell" link at the top of every eBay page, and I don't see it on there either. I also tried using a different browser, still don't see it. If anyone knows where it is, I'd love to know. I'm not seeing any options for adding, hiding, or deleting view counters. Is it a glitch??

Don't do it.
You'll get thrown to the bottom of the search.

Morning, Robot. I have my own listing program and have always have the box checked "counter" to have it at the bottom of all my listings. It even gives me those style choices like Retro, etc. Have used it for years. What is the disadvantage of using the counter? I know eBay shows me at the very top of my listing how many views, but I still want that counter at the bottom. Any advice appreciated as I do not need ANOTHER problem not being seen in eBay search (or in google or other off site engines). Thanks for your reply. P.S. where my Retro styled counter helps me is when an item ends, ebay usually removes "their" counter from the listing, yet I can still see the views on "my" counter. And, yeah I know, I only use the classic selling summary, not the HubBub, where the classic also deletes out views unless I use the SH.

Yes ... counters were all the rage in the early 2000's. So were flip-phones, Prince, and Myspace. Stuff changes in 19 years. 🙂
I'm not trying to come across as mean, but simply want to point out that the "counter" has moved into Seller Hub.
(Also, this thread is from 2016).

I am looking at, as of 9/28/2019 a counter in someones listing at the bottom of the listing, how is this done?

I have counters in mine because as I said above, I started using counters many many years ago, and now I'm somehow grandfathered in, and eBay won't let me NOT have visible counters in my listings. I can't find any way to change it. Maybe the one you saw is also stuck in this glitch of not having control over the visible counters?

Hi everyone,
