Who's leaving?

I know I'm not alone with the way I feel about ebay's new pay plan. Who's leaving and what other platform have you found for selling?

Who's leaving?

I will be finished when MP is forced on me.  I do live in Canada & sell on .com & .ca.  I will no longer be able to sell on .com because I do not have a US bank account.  My sales will drop because several US buyers won't buy from Canadians anyway.  I doubt many will bother with .ca listings.   I will not accept a backwards system that does not pay me immediately.   Why settle for 3-5-7 day delays when I am involved with a system that gives me payment within a day; except for weekends?  Tired of the increase in fees, the 10% S/H money grab & the meddling in MY business.  When I'm told I HAVE to have MP, they will no longer earn 1 more cent off of me.   🙂

Glad to see you found a way to make it work for you. 700+ listings on offer from you today. That’s nothing to sneeze at.

Who's leaving?

AN old ZOMBIE thread with some entertaining thought processes, even some of my own hasty responses earlier on, ....and although I haven't sold on eBay since mid-April, I am staying in contact with the community boards as well as watching how the MP system unfolds here in Canada with all its problems, issues, glitches...before I make my final decisions....

I am staying, no viable alternative, ebay has basically lost the war for everyday items, still the only viable place for items that are not ordinary

I’m leaving. After 12 years and nearly 1000 feedback score. 100% positive. I recently sold a used designer jewelry item. Gave a brief summary of what the item is, and promised fast shipping. Also 2 very good pictures. NOTHING ELSE. Buyer paid on Sunday- I shipped it out the next day by fedex 2 day at my own expense.  Advertised no returns. Buyer claimed that the item did not look like the picture. How? The pictures were of the actual item.  It was a small sterling silver piece. Nothing fancy.  The pictures were Untouched, unedited.  eBay allowed the buyer to return the item anyway- at MY EXPENSE! Because I initially refused the request to return, i

wont be getting my fees refunded for the sale.  Goodbye, eBay. Next time I want to sell something, I will just go to the pawn shop.

We are not allowed to talk about other websites here, but I am doing as good as expected at the other place, 100% feedback, no returns, refund any way I want, take payments even COD if I want,, lower fees. No relisting constantly. My own terms, 10 pics !

Less items for everyone to see..

Who's leaving?

We are very much on the cusp of leaving as well.  We were very successful on ebay in the 90s which now simply sells anything that an Amazon record that would not be created.  Now, despite 100% feedback, we are "limited" on what I can do based on a few unfilled ordered (6) in the last year, half of them at the request of a customer to cancel.  In addition, our only return which we challenged it was a customer making a bogus excuse to use us as a public library and return the item simply because she was done using it. Now, I am not even entitled to even revise a price.  It is mindless to be "restricted" and then told you must do better.  And talking with anyone in "customer service?"  Let's just say there is a "language barrier."  Frankly, for the business, we do elsewhere, this is a silly waste of time.  And this new business of having to double add the title, author and language to books when it is already in either the headline, description or both?  It is simply ebay's way of building a cheap database using SELLER LABOR.   Meanwhile, the load of non-US zero inventory fake drop shippers are allowed to continue business with impunity despite their loads of negative feedback and repeated patterns of fraud.   It's tough to "improve" if you are "below standard" (whatever that means) if your hands are tied behind your back.

Who's leaving?

Hi everyone,

Due to the length of time that has passed since this thread began, we have locked it from future replies. If this is still an issue that warrants discussion, don't hesitate to begin a new thread HERE.

Thanks.
