Where is my 1099K? There are only 2 more days until January 31???

Why is it taking so long to put up my 1099K?

When I used to work, I would many times get a call at the end of January from former employees asking why they hadn't received their tax forms and it was already the 30th. I would calmly say, call back after the first of February. No one ever called me back....

I should just sedate myself from January 1 to April 15.

April 16th-waiting for the new complaint-Where's my refund or something new and annoying on the horizon?

     They will have them in the mail by midnight on the 31st of January at the latest. They cannot afford not to. The fines are hefty if they fail to meet the deadline, and the fine is for each 1099 they failed to get out by the deadline.

It does not have to be sent until Jan 31st. That means they can mail it at 11:59:59PM there time.

I see that lol, me I just like to knock it off early, I'll be back to my accountant in April for quarterly's. I don't even get to see my return money, goes straight to 1st quarter taxes. Weird thing is I have an account I stop selling on back in June(2021) last year but ebay posted a 1099k for 2020 even though it was for only $16k

EBay may be taking a shotgun approach to the 1099's. While they are not required by the federal law changes to issue the 1099's until 2022 when the new thresholds take effect a lot of states already have reporting requirements in place that require the issuance of the 1099's for 2021 and prior years.

Missouri is one of several states that already have 1099-K thresholds that are much lower than the federal.  For MO, it's $1200.

Also, eBay combines all of the accounts that have the same SSN or EIN and sends a 1099-K for each account if the total for ALL accounts is above the relevant threshold.

I didn't get a 1099 for 2020, separate accounts but did include it when filed taxes, but if they send a 1099 the IRS will most likely audit me and have to pull out all the paper work. Not to mention having to pay my accountant to straighten it all out, only $85 an hour.

Mine is not even showing up online.  It was odd because it showed a banner on my account that it was ready, but when I went to look it still only has 2020 as the last one.  I'm hoping it is posted by tomorrow.
