Looks like the eBay accounting program is going to snipe it.

Did you reach the $20,000 threshold for 2021?
Were all those payments via Managed Payments or are they split between eBay and PayPal?
The deadline is Monday, hold your complaint until Tuesday!

Did you meet the requirements to be issued a 1099?
If no then just file as usual claiming income and such

My duties at my job include issuing the Canadian equivalent of the 1099. We actually have until the last day of February to issue them and many companies finish mailing them out on the last day due to the work involved.

If you go to your Paypal account they are already there. When you sign into your Paypal account there is a link right there where you can print them off. We all ready did ours.

I thought ebay would have the online one ready, when I was on pay pal my taxes would have been filed already. I don't get any money, goes straight to 1st quarter taxes but get ahead before IRS gets further behind.
Next year I hope ebay supply's the 1099 as early as they can online, with millions more 1099's that will be flooding the IRS, its going to be SO back log it won't be funny.

1099's are not going to be "flooding the IRS", eBay will submit to the IRS electronically, they will be allocated to the taxpayer electronically, they will be compared to the taxpayers return (when filed) electronically.
eBay will be issuing a few million 1099's this year, hardly a blip compared to the BILLIONS of tax slips that are issued every year.
In fact you don't even need to include the 1099 with your tax return if you are reporting the revenue on Schedule C based on your own accounting records.

Excuse me, but today is being difficult, so I'm going to be loud.
THE IRS DATE FOR 1099 FORMS TO MAILED OUT-MAILED OUT, NOT RECEIVED, IS JANUARY 31ST. MOST COMPANIES ARE RUSHING TO MAKE SURE THEY MAKE THAT DATE.
YOU, AND EVERYONE ELSE, IS NOT REQUIRED TO HAVE IT UNTIL JANUARY 31 PLUS MAILING TIME. SO IT WILL BE TO YOU BY THE 10TH OF FEBRUARY. EARLIER IS NOT PROMISED OR GUARENTEED.

am I the only person who cares about rules and dates or who even looked it up? I did look it up, about thirty years ago when worked in accounting.

I WAS TALKING ABOUT NEXT YEAR!
There will be Millions more 1099's for 2022 with the new $600 requirement. I bet there will be a bunch that will file their taxes not knowing about the 1099 requirement which will clog up the IRS. Posting on the boards have slowed up about it but I ran into a couple people that don't sell online but use cash apps that didn't know about it, they were surprised to say the least lol

As with every year for the last twenty years or more, no company is ever required to send out a tax form prior to Jan 31st. You are a few days early for your compliant. If it is to be mailed add a few more days to that.

You have to admit reading this complaint is kind of funny after the gazillion threads complaining about getting a 1099k. Now we see threads complaining about not getting one.

It was inevitable.
Next up, complaints about being hanged with a new rope.
