Where did it go?

I received an email in my Outlook inbox from PayPal telling me that someone has bought one of my items and paid by PayPal. I looked into my eBay "Sold" page but see no such sold item. The sold item always shows up in my "Sold" page. I looked in my PayPal account and see that the buyer paid for the item. When the sold item shows up in my Sold section and the buyer pays for the item, I print a shipping label through eBay. Now I can't do that. I suppose I could print a label through PayPal, but what bother me is that the sold item disappeared. Any thoughts on this? Has anyone else come across this?

Just give it a little time.  Sometimes this happens and the emails and updates don't happen as quickly as we might like to see.  If it isn't there by morning, then there might be a further issue.

I looked in my PayPal account and see that the buyer paid for the item.

That's okay then.

You can also print a shipping label through Paypal.  That's actually my preference but I sell from several sites and get all payments through PP so that's the simplest method.

but what bother me is that the sold item disappeared.

The only places it ever appeared were Outlook and Paypal?

Which one did it disappear from?

If you are still worried.

Forward the Outlook email to spoof@paypal.com

If the payment doesn't appear in your Paypal account, there is no sale.

If it doesn't appear in your eBay account either, there certainly is no sale.

How could it be a spoof if the payment is in their PP acct?  I think you misunderstood the OP's post.

What’s the item number? Is it still in your active listings? I’ve had cases where the transfer from active to sold was delayed. I’ve seen others with cases where the listing on eBay never updated for some reason so they had to manually end it and ship based on the PayPal transaction alone. It’s uncommon but it does happen.

The sold item number is 153583739669. It is a multiple item. Each sold item has a different number. Usually when I sell one, the original item remains in the active page (unless I am out of stock), but the sold item appears in the Sold page. No such thing this time. But PayPal informed me that someone bought one and paid for it. So I am forced to buy a label from PayPal instead of eBay, and I have no record of the item sold on eBay. I track all my selling info on eBay, not PayPal. This has never happened in all my years on eBay.

How old is the sale?  I've seen this happen sometimes where the two emails do not come in at the same time or the sale show on the Seller Hub.  Not often, but I've had it happen.  Typically it is there in well under 24 hours.

That's not it. That's a book. What I am talking about is a t-shirt which I sold the same day and which is not showing on eBay but it is showing on PayPal. Weird.

There might be a hold on the buyer's payment via Paypal. Happens maybe once a year to me. It has always gone through, usually 2-3 days. Don't ship until it says ok to ship in ebay.

@style_vault

So when this happens to you, you are saying that Ebay doesn't show your sale or notify you that there is a sale?

The OP said the payment was in their PP account.

eBay does not show the sale and did not notify me of the sale. I got a notification of the sale from PayPal into my Outlook inbox. I went to PayPal and the sale was there. The buyer paid for it.

I get that, that wasn't my question.

Was it for the sale of Baltic States vs. The Russian Empire Estonia Latvia Lithuania USSR - Autographed?

No, "Baltic States vs. The Russian Empire Estonia Latvia Lithuania USSR - Autographed" is a book. What I sold was a t-shirt.
