Did somebody forget to put out the "open" sign? Are we closed? I can't support a family on this! I've been working hard to keep my site updated. I add new listings constantly. I use promotions above the "suggested rate".
Where are the customers? They were just here not to long ago.
Or is it just me?
Sincerely,
A man with 3 children to feed... Including one that's only 6 months old.
P.S. Please fix whatever is broken.

I didn’t say that. Tell me where I said that. How would I even know that? So you think the algorithm is working perfectly and all sellers are turning widgets like hotcakes?

It has to be just you because their user numbers have been holding steady for the last several quarters... or......
Though it could also be now that you are embedded in the promoted listing program you are slated for a quarterly slowdown that indicates its time to up your promoted listings rate in order to continue effectively selling here?...
Who knows...But my guess by default is malfeasance or neglect due to many experiences that have caused me not to trust this company as far as I can throw their main office...

I have been selling on eBay for 25 years. Historically, the summer months have always been my very best months. I have data to back my statement up.
I rarely sell to the east coast, most of my sales are in the western US.
Hurricanes happen EVERY SUMMER. Sad but true. Most people don’t drown in their homes.
Your summer slump experience is not at all what I have experienced over the past 25 years until this year.

What is a "real job" ? Other people handing you money for your efforts? Having to be 100% perfect every day & be judged for it? People handed me $375 yesterday, on a Sunday(!), for my items. How many 'real jobs' out there pay that much in a single day? No fees; no taxes. 🙂

It’s always something.

So it is kinda strange when I started using more ebay advertising my traffic count was +23% and now at -32% but my sales are up 83%, not sure if their traffic counts are all that accurate but the economy is great people are buying I have already beat last years sales numbers. Just seems strange to have way less people but selling way more stuff. The only thing I could suggest is trying to diversify your items to appeal to a broader audience. I'm still trying to figure out this ad thing.

Love your store name, I got a bunch of Krazzies running around.

Good grief, that was a good day for you. Congratulations.

Good choice to draw more customers.

I've never had a business online at a level in which I could support a family, some books are pricey but overall they are not particularly lucrative. I'm not sure if the people on this board do well enough to be primary breadwinner, probably nobody's business but their own. I've been happy with my sales for some months now since I quit/scaled back Amazon and really boosted my auctions. For many people that makes no sense but there you have it. But I am a small one-woman shop. Unlike the nice bookseller here with bonkers sales I have to scout and ship everyday. Really cuts into what I can do in terms of listing.

That's just under $95,000 a year (based on $46.87 an hour).
I'm retired but my paycheque was reduced by federal and provincial income taxes, union dues, my part of my health and dental insurance, and pension payments.

"It's the algorithm."
People are buying what they want to buy.
If no one wants to buy what you are selling, that aint ebay's fault.

In addition to all the great reasons @slippinjimmy mentioned, they are all still 'stuck in the line' at the airport for the Kamala Rally while she touts the great economy they have bestowed upon us....*wink-wink*

Why are you paying union dues if you are retired?

I agree, the coupon codes did have an positive effect, trick is come up with a nice catchy code name that reflects what you are selling or what your charity is.
