When to ship an item

I just sold something on eBay and I’m wondering when do I ship it because it says “payment initiated” so does that mean it’s ready to be shipped?

Re: When to ship an item

NO.

Log in directly to your Paypal account. See if there is a payment there.

The easier you are to offend the easier you are to control.

Nothing is ready to ship until ebay tells you to ship.

Re: When to ship an item

When an item is ready to be shipped because payment has been received you should get a message (in red) when you log into your eBay account saying "PAID - SHIP NOW".  You should also get email notification from eBay that says "Sale confirmed: (name of item that sold).

Remember the old saying "cash on the barrel head" meaning you shipped, delivered or handed over the goods when you saw the money, not when you were "told" to.

Re: When to ship an item

I'm more wary than that.

Because we can, as buyers or sellers, mark items as Paid in eBay (cash payments are still a thing in local pickups) I want to see the money in Paypal as Cleared.

On one very new account, my funds are still being Held, and for 21 days since I am not in the USA. However, those pending funds are available to buy a Shipping Label with, which I can use as a rough guide to actual payment.

Sure, if you are stuck in managed payments.  I am not.  And yes, of course I know the saying "cash on the barrel".  My grandfather was born in 1895.
