Then why close it.  You appear to have a very nice business going.

Your presentation of your items is beautiful and, to me, it appears you are making great $$, for doll clothes.  Admittedly, I had no idea that doll clothes are that expensive.

Like mam said, why stop now?

Sometimes the cons outweigh the pros and it is time to just walk away.

I must say you do very impressive work. Perhaps that other site that begins with an E might serve you well. Good luck.

Thank you so much! I started the downsizing a year ago with GTC and a myriad of other time-sucking changes they implemented, meaning I quit buying inventory then and began the phase out, but was still open to staying; then they started MP and the decision was made. All my customers are here so the thought of starting over on another platform didn’t appeal to me. I have an amazing customer base here — I am definitely going to miss them the most!

The really sad part of it all is these "changes" only further encourage that proliferation of mass produced trinkets that clobber up the search results as if it weren't bad enough already.

I hated GTC at first but now find it saves time.  I wasn't thrilled about managed payments but reluctantly signed up.  Change is constant on eBay and we adjust.   Give it a shot and maybe it won't be so bad.  Love your items and pictures, but alas, I'm too old to play with dolls. 🙂

Yep. I think that was/is their intention. I’m in the mood to make vintage style handbags, so did an ebay search for DIY handbag hardware with the US only filter and the two I wanted were located in China! Even though I had the filter set to US only. I love buying from the little boutique sellers, but seems they’re fewer and farther between these days.

GTC cost me time because I had a great little system going. Forced GTC forced me to change my efficient little system, which meant in the same amount of time, I went from keeping around 250 to 300 items listed at a time to around 90 to 100. Then, I only have an ipad to do everything with and the app is ridiculously inadequate (no combined shipping which makes no sense, app photo program updates desaturate photos so I have to via the ipad login to their regular website to upload photos there (can’t rearrange them without a mouse and there’s no mouse for ipad) save as a draft then go back to the app to reorder the photos (and yes I’ve been quite vocal about this problem to no avail like everything else I’ve pointed out, so constantly being ignored as a customer also becomes tiresome), commissions on shipping is the biggest thorn in my craw; the one-way key word auto-reply messages are never accurate and nearly always offensive as a result, the list is long so I’ll not bore you lol, then they want access to my bank account? After I recovered from side-splitting laughter at their further audacity to encroach and take and take and take without so much as an acknowledgement I was like, um, if you don’t have to require buyers to register for MP then you don’t have to REQUIRE sellers to register. Anyway, like I said, the list is long LOL! I’ve worked with a lot of vendors over the course of my career and I have never felt so irrelevant and disrespected as I have with ebay. At some point, I’m just too old for that ****. And I do wish them well with their grabs-of-the-month; but no more from me.

Oh, and requiring that we give up our IP rights (photos & descriptions) as conditions of use really gets my goat. So unAmerican (our rights to our own creative works). Ew.
