I was recently demoted to below standard because I wasn't aware of eBay's policy on cancelling orders (my fault, I should have read up). I'm trying to boost my sales to get above the percentage threshold for above standard, but was wondering:
If one buyer buys multiple different products on the same day/in the same cart, would that count as two transactions for the seller level metrics, or only 1? I have one guy who is winning two separate auctions that end at the same time, and want to know whether that will count once or twice?
Any help is really appreciated!

Thanks for the reply! I mostly wanted to know if one buyer buys multiple different products on the same day/in the same cart, would that count as two transactions for the seller level metrics, or only 1? I have one guy who is winning two separate auctions that end at the same time, and want to know whether that will count once or twice? Do you know how eBay would count that case?

Likely in the least favorable way, from a seller's viewpoint. I know with feedback ratings, they count all purchases by the same buyer within a 7 day period as one feedback point. I've told my repeat collectible buyers to let me know if they want multiple items and I'll spread the listings out so we both can get the biggest bang out of the mutual feedback.
You might want to ask eBay For Business on Facebook - they seem to be able to get answers when Customer Service doesn't have a clue, and they are pretty well connected to the right people within eBay.
Good Luck!

I believe that multiple purchases by the same buyer in a short period of time are considered to be one transaction.
Otherwise, it would be too easy for a seller to list a hundred 99 cent items and have a friend "accidentally" buy them all and inflate his transaction count and restore his status.

You must know by now you were scammed by ebay" when you cancel a sale for any reason, say you dropped the item and it broke. You refund the buyer all is good? NOT! ebay is doing everything it can to demote you so they can charge you extra money 💰 🤑. They DONT warn you as you are about to cancel that sale. They want you below standard as they can fill there pockets with more money. If they really wanted to punish you they could suspend your account for a fix number of days but NO they want you to keep selling so they get AN EXTRA 6% on your sales. FUNNY THING if your a top rated seller you get a .05 percent discount on fees. HELLO! if below standard they **bleep** your hard earned money 💰. Ebay never warns you of this, you only find out when you say geeez why such high fees and then you spend an hour deciphering it all.
Ebay is NOT SELLER FRIENDLY

Best advice stop selling on ebay for a year it's the only way to clear your below standard account. And start fresh

I agree, there should be an exception for sellers who drop stuff and break it before they get it shipped. They could call it the Dog Ate My Homework exception.
