I have a used breast pump that I got for a friend who didn't use it. So I tried to put in on here and it says I can't sell it because it's for a single use.... which I don't understand. Then too there are oodles of others that are selling used breast pumps SO WHY ARE THEY ALLOWED AND I'M NOT? I said it was cleaned and sterilized ... which is also required. Is the someone who can please explain why they can and I can't sell one on ebay?

Same reason I got stopped for speeding, but the driver who whizzed past me on the Interstate going about 90 didn't.
All you really need to know is that you listed (or tried to list) something that is prohibited. As frustrating as it is, like my mom used to say, "Don't worry about the other kids. Just worry about yourself."

Life is rarely fair ... Ebay is the epitome of that fact.

Illegal parking. Some people get away with it. Some don't.
The same goes for the breast pump police.

These pumps are medical devices regulated by the FDA. According to their website, fda.gov:
Renting or sharing these devices can be dangerous if pumps are not designed for multiple users.
“Consumers should be aware of the hazards of renting or sharing a breast pump that is not designed for multiple users—even with family and friends,” says H. Paige Lewter, an electrical engineer and device reviewer in the FDA’s Obstetrics and Gynecology Devices branch. “Contaminated breast pumps could cause you and your baby to develop an infection.”
“Even if a used device looks really clean, potentially infectious particles may survive in the breast pump and/or its accessories for a surprisingly long time,” adds Michael Cummings, M.D., an FDA obstetrician-gynecologist.
