Hi, I'm going to start by saying I sell some weird things on here. I had a "buyer" that had been messaging me for the last 5 days about a product asking different questions and if I had more of this product, etc. Finally I made a listing for them. They had issues with payment (eBay said it failed) so I had to cancel the order and tried to relist it per buyers request but was unable to because of my limits as a new seller. I let the person know and they must have gotten my info because 30min later I received an email from this person to my actual email(not ebay) asking if I want to chat. Now I really want to know what othet info they have. Do they have my address/phone number?! Or was it just my email? I have searched everywhere for an answer and can't find one.

I want to add they probably got my info because they went through with the transaction and they didn't pay or canceled payment.

Each to his/her own, of course, but you might want to spell the name of your merchandise correctly. Also, you state at least a couple of the items have been worn, but you've listed them as NEW--which is defined as UNWORN--and then you state they're USED in your item description.
As to the issue you've presented, I really can't figure out what has transpired. First you say the buyer's payment failed, but then they somehow had your personal email address, then you say they went through with the transaction, but they didn't pay or they canceled the payment.
Sorry, but it's just not the least bit clear what happened . . .

Despite the fact that ebay forbids the selling of used unwashed underwear or even clean used underwear, and considering the crowd this attracts, a former buyer may have your email already and now the messages wanting to "chat" are from them under a different name? They may be a stalker wanting a sexual chat.
I would say ignore them, block them, but you seem to be encouraging the "dark side" LOL!

I was gonna say something, but...yeah...never mind lol

It looks like the listings have ended. No more weirdos for you to worry about. Or chat with.

Oh my! I had no idea people bought and sold used panties but I think we can all guess what they wanted to chat about..... Not only did they access your name, address and phone number but almost naked pictures too.

So, not a thing where you live, eh? (Wanna bet? 😁)
I still can't figure out how the buyer got the OP's personal email, though. It's not on the seller's item listings and it's not in a PayPal transaction . . . I haven't had a transaction with Google Pay or Apple Pay for ages, so I don't remember whether the seller's email is included in those transaction records--or what some kind of Managed Payment info might send a buyer, if anything? Anyone know?

The seller's Paypal email address is in the Paypal transaction. I just checked on one of my purchases. It's right there in the contact info - seller's name, Ebay id and Paypal payment email address.

Are you looking at one of your own purchase transactions? I'm looking at mine, and there is no email address for the seller. I wonder why the information I see on my record and the information you see on your record would be different.
I'd post a screenshot, but there'd be so much to redact, it would take me 'til morning. LOL! Let me know if you want to see it, though, and I'll be glad to redact and post. I've looked at the PayPal transaction records for my last five purchases and one refund. I'm looking at my PayPal "Activity" page. Is there another page it might be on?

Here's my redacted screenshot of a PayPal eBay purchase transaction. Under "Seller Info" it had the seller's name (Roger Whoever) and his eBay seller id in parentheses. Nothing else. No PayPal payment email address.
Could it be a difference in the type of PayPal account we have? Mine's just a regular, common, run-of-the-mill account.

Pretty sure it was the 2ed item the payment failed on, not the first.

"Oh my! I had no idea people bought and sold used panties but I think we can all guess what they wanted to chat about....."
I wish I could edit that to say a butt.....
In the past you could get email addresses from PayPal's payment notifications. They exist separate from eBay messaging. It's not visible but if in your own email system you click to reply voila it appears as who you're sending it to, don't know if it still works. If you have anyone's name and address there are public records you can usually access for a fee and sometimes it has an email or 2 or 3.....

Good point. I looked on my micropayments account, I didn't think to check my regular one.
So I logged in to my regular Paypal account and checked. I did not see the seller's email. It looked like yours. So I guess the type of account does make a difference.

You have to stop selling your used panties. It is against Ebay rules. Also even if you continue to do such a thing you should at least put them in the adult category.
