What's your BBL threshold?

I know some of you never block buyers. But those that do: how many returns (both remorse and SNAD) do you wait to get from a buyer before you BBL them?

I know what some of you might be thinking... but even Amazon and Target gives you a limit for returning items.

SNAD depends on the reason - was it my fault or the buyer being dishonest? If it's my fault I don't block. If it's the buyer being dishonest they're blocked after one SNAD.

Remorse I've never blocked - but I also don't get serial returners with remorse. I've had people return one item then come back again, and again and never return. The number of returns before being blocked would be contingent on the volume they purchase from me on an annual basis.

It's the nature of the return.

A return which shows contempt for seller is a reason to block.

I have never yet encountered a 2nd return from the same buyer. I am only shipping about 500 per year at this point and I just do not see many returns.

I am sure over the years, a few buyers have made the BBL, the 1st go-round. Maybe 10%.

My guess is a return for any reason or any non payment gets blocked by the majority here on the boards. Some block even if they get a question from a potential buyer. With that said, I doubt there are many buyers who would want to do business with a seller anyway for any of those reasons. Buyers have been asking for a BSL for a long time now.

The tone of their question is sometimes enough to add to my BBL so they do not become a buyer.

Oh yea of course, I forgot to mention to not include the SNADs that are your own fault. If you are getting repeated legitimate SNADs from the same buyer... that's a whole other can of worms there. I think I may have blocked one buyer so far for returning too much. If I can recall I think the buyer bought 4 items in a course of a month... like once a week. Same type of item and I got one return a week for "it doesn't fit." They got 3 different sizes, apparently trying to find one that they liked the fit. The 3rd and 4th time was the same size, and that the moment I thought okay this guy isn't ever going to like these items and got slapped into my BBL.

4 purchased items, 4 returns.

I only block if someone is in my buying category and is creating real problems (hassling and threatening me about lowering a price, i.e., not just wanting to make a deal which is OK, asking leading questions, etc.).  That's not often.  I don't block for returns, etc.  I'm pretty niche so have a lot of repeat business and share some buyers with other niche sellers. None of this is often at all, maybe a few a year.  I'm not a big time seller but if I'm going at my usual pace I do sell about 1000-1200 items a year.

Mine is if they ask weird questions & I check their feedback left for others. If lots of negatives they go on my BBL. As for returns more than 2 they will go on my BBL.

I have found that I block posters to this board way more often than any buyers I deal with.  I guess I need a posting ID.

I have free returns. I've only had one return - a buyer's remorse one. No, I didn't block the buyer.

The only people I block are the ones that show up here on the boards and show their tails. Proactive, 'ya know.

HAHA. Zero threshold or you wait until zero returns to BBL a buyer? 😁
