We sold 12 pairs mens size 58 overalls with a 26 inch inseam.  One guy bought them all.

(always pictured an oompa loompa as a farmer)

He used to check in to see if we got any more in.  Lol.  (If we had realized the inseam, never would have purchased them...really heavy and big.....)

When I was dropping off a load of packages at my local post office (back in 2006-2007), a lady asked me what was in all the boxes?  I told her I sold shoes on eBay, mostly ladies shoes, mostly comfortable shoes.  She asked if I had any size 5 shoes...she really needed a 4.5, but those were hard to find.  I didn't have any at the time, but I did recently sell a pair of womens size 13 flats!

A empty cardboard box. A S scale train set box.  American Flyer, from the 50s. The set is a very rare and valuable set. Apparently 2 gentleman had the set without a box, and they had to have the box.

They bid it up to $2035.00

....for a empty cardboard box.

Re: What’s the weirdest thing you’ve successfully sold on eBay?

about boxes

I've told this before, so grin and bear it.....  BH lists empty old boxes, candy/stationery etc.  So he found a "piece" of an old candy box backing a picture, researched the company....defunct, so lists the "piece"....good graphics, you know...  Sells it for $16, I think........woman writes him with with profuse thanks.....her father gave this candy to Mom every year for 35 years......she had it framed for Mom.  As someone said....you can sell almost anything on ebay.....and make someone happy to boot.

Re: What’s the weirdest thing you’ve successfully sold on eBay?

We volunteer 1 day a week at a thrift shop associated with Catholic ministries.....they came to them in a giant box and someone set them aside on a table.  At the end of day, my co-worker commented that the box was full of mens overalls, NWTs.  I bought the box for $5.  Barely looked at them except to realize they were size 58, huge and heavy.

They sat in a box in our garage for about 6 months before I finally got around to dealing with them - the box was huge, but only held 12 pairs - they were about as wide as they were long and i don't think I even realized something came that big.  (should have kept a pair for Halloween for 2-3 of us to get inside)

We listed them - I think I put 3 pair up originally and they sold the same day.  Even emailed the Buyer to be certain they understood they were only 26 inseam (I think they measured a little under that) and he was thrilled.  When we relisted - he bought them all.  lol

Had never sold big boy stuff(s) before that.  Have certainly since as it sells!

Re: What’s the weirdest thing you’ve successfully sold on eBay?

List of weird.

100 lot of Koolaid packs, you know the unsweetened kind.

Aluminum foil.

That said, I'm a couponer.  There was a deal where when I bought 2 kraft food items and a roll of aluminum foil, I got $10 off meat.  The koolaid was 10 for $10, the foil was $1.49.  I had coupons for the koolaid for $1 off 10 and coupons for the aluminum foil for $1 off.  I'd buy 10 koolaid and 5 foil and 5 packs $10 of meat.  Paid less than $3.

Repeat until the freezer is full, the entire neighborhoods freezers and full and every human I knew, freezers were full.

Neighbors and friends would give me $25 for the meat.

Then repeat after a couple of weeks when the freezers emptied.

Coupons were good for 6 months!

I ended up with thousands of koolaid, hundreds of rolls of aluminum foil.

Wouldn't you know it, every single one sold!

AHHH, the summer of Kraft!

Nothing yet - but I've got some tiny little sequined outfits for circus monkeys that I now feel inspired to list.

Brand new $2 bills. Mostly in sets of 5 or 10 but I had somebody pay $5 for a single $2 bill.

Here's the punch line: you can go to the bank and get them for $2 each.

That actually makes sense and therefore not all that strange.

To be matter of fact the scrotum is the softest and most pliable of any other leather produced from any mammal on earth.

Kangaroo leather is the softest of any other leather on earth. That is why race car drivers purchase racing boots made of Kangaroo leather. It's softness gives the racing car driver's a better feel or touch to the break pedal.....

and therefore I can only conclude that Kangaroo scrotum would be that much more softer and better for the the touch.
