What's the point to set up reward program if the goals are not achievable ?

The idea of printing your own labels is to prevent you from waiting in line at your local post office, so that you can arrive and drop off your items.

My post office doesn't scan the items you drop off. So now and then, some items are only being scanned a day or two later (If not more), resulting in my % of late drop off being over 3 %.

All the products are being shipped the same day, if not, the next day, even if it's only for 1 item.

Yet, my late amount of drop is about 4 %, because the post office is scanning late about 4 % of my items.

Don't tell me that I need to wait in  line to scan a paper, I won't. It's a 20 to 30 minutes wait. What if eBay was to just increase the % to 5 % instead of 3 % ?

Whoever is recurring late will not reach 5 % anyway, they'll probably be way above.

Programs that are set to motivate you do the right thing should reward you for that, not punish you because of the post office mistakes.

Four alternative options:

  1. Find another (smaller) post office branch that doesn't have such a long line.
  2. Talk to the postmaster of your preferred branch, explaining your need to get scans, and see if there is a way  to get the scans done.  Perhaps they will allow you to drop off a scan form with your packages, and do the scan when they are less busy or at the end of their day.
  3. Have your packages picked up by the USPS, and provide them with a scan form.
  4. Find a branch near you with an Automated Parcel Drop ... it is a self-service kiosk that allows you to self-scan the package and drop it in a chute.  I have one of these wonderful machines 3 miles from my location.

5. As a last resort- extend your handling time a few days so packages getting their scans a day or two late won't affect your seller performance.

I would start with option 2 mentioned above. You can file a complaint on the usps site and the postmaster should get back to you.

Re: What's the point to set up reward program if the goals are not achievable ?

It's been acheiveable for me every single month since it was implemented.

Don't tell me that I need to wait in  line to scan a paper, I won't.

IMHO there is a big difference between "not achievable" and "not willing".

It's very achievable, just have to make time and put whatever effort it takes into it.

First go the polite route and speak to the postmaster.  If that doesn't work start filing complaints with the Regional postmaster and Postmaster General's office.

That isn't an Ebay problem or a problem with the program you want to achieve.  That is your local PO not following procedures set down my USPS.

So here is what I'd do if I were in your position.  Go to USPS.com and file a complaint.  They really do pay attention to them and they do react.  I've had to use it 2 or 3 times with because of a carrier we use to have [thank goodness she has retired].  To say she was difficult is just an utter understatement.

The quick response and help that happened by filing those complaints was refreshing.  And each time my problem was resolved.

USPS wants ALL packages to get scanned.  It is important as they advertise how responsive they are with this to try and stay competitive against other carriers.  So they will resolve this issue for you.  You just need to voice your concerns to the right people.

If your Post Office Carrier is not scanning the items, get their name and report them to the local Post Office. Explain that you absolutely need your items scanned in each and every time your carrier picks up the items from you. If that fails to work, CALL the Post Office and complain. Explain to the CS person on the phone that you have been to your local Post Office and that they are not in compliance with scanning packages. That usually fixes things!

Otherwise, you can complain on here and get nowhere.

Or you can continually wait in line at the Post Office for your packages to be manually scanned when you hand them over to the counter carrier.

Choice is yours!
