What's Up with using our FULL NAME in EBAY message for extending Item Specifics to the Summer?

Has anyone else received a EBAY Auto generated message about Item Specific Requirements in HOME & GARDEN and ELECTRONICS Categories being delayed into the summer yet? My question is EBAY messages have ALWAYS stated with "HI Karen" this one I just got on both my accounts just starts off with "KAREN ____ and my LAST NAME? what is up with that? very unprofessional, and not very classy at all! I am scratching my head in bewilderment!

Haven't gotten the message, but, frankly, if they are going to delay them in order to put them out correctly instead of the last junk effort........they can call me............. Hey, You.......

Gotta love this section..

The item specifics you have already given us are important. The more data you give us about what you’re selling, the better we can match your item to what (we want to show) your buyers are looking for.

There are numerous fake ebay related emails being generated.

Don't do anything but delete them.

Any messages from ebay will be in your ebay messages.

This IS an ebay message (IN ebay messages no less).

It's not the first one like this (with full name in subject) I've ever received.

I know PayPal information message always come through with first and last name.  Maybe ebay has reformatted to do this, too? It's supposedly a security thing that's supposed to prove the message is legit.

Right now nothing is safe and legit. We are getting hit in massive waves with scammers. A certain country is not happy with us and they're hitting us with both barrels.  We have to look 2 and 3 times to be sure what we get is legit because our ID's here have been targeted.  It's not just the virus we have to watch out for.

It was an EBAY message in my Seller Hub.

Yes, so that would mean it's an authentic message from ebay.

It only seems to be messages to do with certain subjects that come through this way. Maybe it's a particular 'team' that formats them this way.

"FULL NAME in EBAY message --- very unprofessional, and not very classy at all! "

Actually I always thought that addressing me by my first name only was unprofessional. It assumes a familiarity that does not exist. First name only is something I allow my friends and relatives to do. I expect Mr (last name) or at least first AND last name from business contacts.

I guess I am completely missing what is unprofessional, classless, or head-scratching about this.

Lately, I've been getting emails from Paypal addressing me by my first and middle name.

Hi @ekmadonna, this is actually a security measure for you so you know the message has come from eBay. Sometimes we include the first and last name, and other times we may include the email on file instead. Depending on the topic and how these emails are sent out will determine which verification information is included. Some emails won't include this information, so this could be why you haven't noticed it before.
