What possible reason?

Fore what possible reason would a customer leave me (or anybody) a neutral and say "THANK YOU"?

Re: What possible reason?

The same type of people who won't ever pay compliments  -- they think it somehow detracts from themselves.

I’ve seen posts by a couple of buyers who said they only leave positive feedback when the seller goes ahead and beyond (upgraded shipping, free gift, etc) and everyone else who did their job got a neutral.

Some people you just can’t please…

Probably the same people who never tip.

Re: What possible reason?

Who knows what goes through a customer's mind.  We currently have a neutral stating just "Fair purchase".  Eh, I hate seeing it but I've learned to just ignore such things (since neutrals don't hurt us).

Same reason as another neutral.

"It was a gift and arrived early"

Who knows?

Re: What possible reason?

Back in the early days of "feedback" many buyers gave neutrals as they believed that was correct. They bought something that turned out as described. For a positive you had to have Superman deliver it within an hour.

Apparently some buyers still think like that.

Re: What possible reason?

They accidentally hit the neutral when they really wanted to hit the positive.

Re: What possible reason?

I have one like that as well sitting there with glowing feedback that is at least two sentences long must have been the hit the neutral instead of the positive by accident.
