Do you watch an item that is very cheap? Under $5.00. If so, what is the point? You are not watching it until you can afford it. You are not watching it to wait for a price drop. Is it really at a price point that you need to decide on whether you want it or not? Seems like a simple, quick decision to make. lol People spend that much on a scratch ticket & am pure sure they don't put in a lot of effort in to think about it. 😛 What says you? 🙂 Enjoy your weekend.

After reading your post @iamalwaysright I got to thinking and tried something. When I click on XX Variations (right below the listing title on the Active listing page), and then click on the specific variation from the list, the particular variation's URL can be copied.
You just blew my mind and win the trophy today 😁
Thanks for the tip! This will definitely save some time and free up my watch list for, uh, nothing haha.

Yes, that is the other (easier) way. Through Seller Hub manage variations page. The method I use (hub or watchlist) depends whether I have the hub open or the listing open when I'm answering the buyer's question. Sometimes I have the listing open to check something like shipping to the buyer's zip and that's when I use the watchlist path.
I always go for whatever is most efficient / least # of clicks.

It depends on what you sell. If your store is all items that are not in one niche, there is little chance that someone will buy multiple items. But in niches like my first day covers, or even trading cards, people are collecting sets and series, so they are likely to combine orders especially not to incur a shipping charge on buying those same 3-5 items with different sellers.
Part of my business plan is to have a huge selection (I have 8200 listings) so a stamp collector can sit there with his collection or want list and make a substantial purchase. I do sell over 500 lots a month.
Sending America's collectibles where they belong, one auction at a time!

@iamalwaysright thanks for sharing that. I didn't even know you could watch your own listings. Never had any reason to try. Great to know, thank you!

I have 2 on my list that are under $5. One is a pack of seeds, that I don't know if i'm ever going to get around to doing the project, so I keep it on there until I have some 'free time'. The other is for keep tabs on a particular seller.
I have also done what someone else mentioned, watched an item I had to list (I do that all the time), but this one was really cheap, like 4.99 & I was planning to sell mine for $100. I waited til the $5 one sold, before I listed mine.
I watch for a variety of reasons from research to actually wanting the item & everything in between.
