I've NEVER had this many return request in one month's time! Not only that, there seems to be a rash of them on the boards.
Buyer 1: Sleeves were too long. Opened a remorse return, and paid the return shipping.
Buyer 2: Claimed I said it was the wrong size. Told her to return, 1 month later, never did after reminding her I posted a pic of the tag size. Has a history of leaving negs.
Buyer 3: Claimed there was a hole. Gave a label, took her dear sweet time sending it back.
Buyer 4: Said that even though it was labeled a S, it is much bigger and she, "should have been warned it was much bigger and mislabeled." Open a SNAD case. Didn't ask any questions. I'm not a Small, and nowhere near it. How am I supposed to know? Eat a sandwhich!
Rant and semi-question over. It seems like this month was the worst for returns, a barrage of dumb questions already answered in the listing, and rude buyers.

"In Astronomy terms..........."
Cool. I kinda like to think ebay might be more like the god particle, the key to all of contradictory creation everyone's looking for.

but for eBay it's a Cardinal sin not to include this info?
It's not a sin, but, on ebay, it is self preservation for me. I sell my vintage clothing on another site and it is a necessity because vintage sizes are vastly different than the sizes of today.
I have thought about not bothering listing measurements on my ebay listings, but I have hope that someday the ebay bosses will realize that treating every lame buyer complaint like it is an edict from God is not always the way to go and that if a seller can show that the measurements are in the listing - that the buyer should not be able to claim it doesn't fit. Hasn't happened to me in all the years I have been selling here, but you never know.
Besides, I really don't want to answer the uptick in questions about what is the waist measurement or will this fit me, does this stretch, and so on.

I live in the Central time zone. I've found calling 8 a.m.-6:30/7 p.m. CST always works. It's a pain for those not on my time zone to remember that, but I swear I always get a US based rep then. The once or twice a year I've called for random issues, that formula worked flawlessly. Longest wait time was 20 minutes on a holiday weekend. They resolved everything in my favor except for one time.

Well, as I keep saying here and on other threads, I've included measurements and still received questions for those same measurements. I get argued with before and after the sale, that those aren't right because that's not what the size chart says, or they want to strongarm me into a return and they know they'll win. I've explained how I've been screwed by measurements too. It's like measurements are jsut another thing ebay, sellers, and buyers can all use open to their interpretation:
Sellers: "I'm going to list measurements so that I can protect myself, and inform the buyer!"
Buyer: "I'm going to ask for measurements, or read/not read them, then claim they're wrong if I order something that doesn't fit me because I know my size from 10 years ago. Or, I can claim the seller is wrong because I feel I paid too much!" <-- ran into that last one twice.
Ebay: "Well, the buyer says" aaaaaaaaaaaaaand there you go.

I have to admit, I'm slow at these things but I'm taking care of dying relatives. I ordered from the river, ordered my size so I didn't think anything about it. A week or so later, I went to wear the items & doggone they wouldn't fit a Barbie doll. So over a week later, I had to ask to return 4 items that don't fit.
My mother did that too a few times. She didn't read the measurements, or ask questions. She saw a 2X or 3X, and hit the buy button. I've told her as an ebay seller, she should know what to look for from both the experience as a buyer and a seller. A year and a half later, I still hear this, "It's way too small. It said a --." "Mom, it gives you the measurements in the listing. Why didn't you read them?"

I've had people wait until the day before their deadline to decide to ship an item back, I can't help but think something like that is out of spite.

They're the black hole that opens up, consumes everything, and doesn't leave anything constructive. However, they are an integral part of the entropy in the universe.
