Ever go to a sale and buy something on a whim that blew you away when you sold it?
How about buying something and your Wife/Husband/Transgender Partner told you you where insane buying. Then Low and behold it blew them away?
On a whim several years ago I stopped at a yard sale and the lady had owned a gift shop. It had been closed for years and she was finally getting rid of some of it. She had a pile of Smurf Scratch and Sniff Stickers, about 100 sheets in all (factory sealed, etc). I got them for my kids and figured I would sell the rest here it was only $4 or $5 for all of them. Well, I ended up making around $500 off that and the kids got to split one pack of the "unpopular" ones.
One sale I stopped my Wife and I had a "DISCUSSION" about my purchase of a case of 1980's sealed Rock & Pop 8 track tapes that were from the Columbia House Record Club. $10 for the box. Something about "Are you crazy?" Yep Just one went for over $100.
She did apologise afterwards.
So, what about you?

A friend asked me to list his ScienceFiction collection to help finance his husband's immigration to Canada.
Among the hundreds of books was a copy of a fanzine Energumen #13 which had an article by Dean Koontz about how he and his wife, early in their writing career, made a small living by writing pornography.
It sold for $600.
Better, I had my own copy of the zine (the publisher was my BFFs husband) and it sold to the underbidder.

I once sold a wreath made of human hair. It was part of a collection of items in a mourning shadowbox.
