What is going on? HUGE DECLINE IN SALES?

I dont know about everyone else, but I just started managed payments about a month ago. Before managed payments started, I was pulling $100 in sales daily for months and months consistently.   Now all the sudden, im having days where I dont sell a single item.  Now I always have 300 items listed at any given time, and something is not right here.  It seems to me something is causing this, but im not sure what it is.  Who else is experiencing this.  Ebay has gone way downhill it seems.  I may be taking my business elsewhere if this continues, as something isn't adding up, something is really fishy here.

It is daunting and stressful.  So many of us at 1 time staring down the Zero sales conundrum.

I am going to end and re-list and revise listings to see if it jumpstarts anything.  Maybe not....going to try on a few and see.

I think after many years not being touched by taxes, many governments have figured out how to cash in on eBay sales.  I first noticed some American states taxing the buyers on their purchases. Now, the European Union  (E.U.)  has of July 1st, 2021 introduced customs charges on all online sales  coming in from outside the E.U..

The United Kingdom does the same for items coming in from abroad.

I paid sales tax on a coin I bought from the U.K. and then I had to pay a customs charge when it entered the E.U. country where I reside.

Unfortunately, I think the glory days of eBay and other online sites have gone forever. Local sales will continue but intercontinental sales will likely be reduced.

Been selling on Ebay 16 years and sales have never been so poor. There are many days in a row where there are no sales at all and I have over 800 listings. In September I averaged almost 3 sales a day. I wonder too if the category changes have not somehow affected my sales. I normally would be seeing an increase in sales at this time of the year.  I phoned Ebay as I thought maybe something was wrong with my listings that they were not visible to buyers but they said there was no problem and that other sellers were calling about declining sales too.

I have been having the same issue going weeks on end with no sells maybe sell a couple of items on weekends and that it has never ever been this bad before. whats happening ebay the same stuff I sell is selling i have looked it up.looks like ebay is pushing out the old sellers for these new ones i have been on here for yrs.

I miss the old eBay and, for that matter, ... half.com!  Why does eBay need my bank's routing number to deposit the revenue from sales when they have my payPal info and my credit card info?

Gentlemen : I am a buyer , what the hell is going on with Ebay ! I cannot talk to Ebay customer service , they have shut that down . I cannot figure out their new system format to buy anything.  Sincerely , Rayford Hiatt

Lots of buyers trusted PayPal but don't trust eBay, and with good reason. I'm sure eBay has seen a mass exodus of buyers since their greedy takeover with MP, thus causing lower sales volume. Couple that with their propensity to let fraud run rampant and you have a recipe for fewer sales overall.

Look around and make an analysis. Then you can come to some interesting conclusions.

Not sure what you sell, but the markets are all saturated with similar products and sellers. Take a Tera-Peak at just about item (like yours).  If there are 5,000 sellers (whatever number) and $28K in sales (whatever number), that is a good marker for product/seller saturation. So WHAT are your chances of a sale, when you also kick in Political / Social unrest, economy, inflation------well, you know the list by now.

Now, look at suppliers. I used to get most stuff from auctions - until the local boys closed up shop. No more cheap inventory. Take a run to your neighborhood Flea or Bizarre. See how well the local sellers are doing too. I bet you find the same declines for them.

Anyway - research, and you will get your answers. Not here on a chatterbox of opinions.
