What is a reasonable amount for Promoted Listings Advanced?

I don't know what the amount should be for this program.

What is a reasonable amount for Promoted Listings Advanced?

already asked this question, only need one thread to cover all PL methods.

PL advantage you pay every time someone "clicks on your item" (this could very expensive and no guarantee your item will sell).

PL standard you only pay if your  item sells.   You decide what percentage you are willing to pay.   You could start with the lowest amount of 2% of entire sale (purchase price + shipping + sales tax).

If your items are "one of a kind" you don't need to promote them.   When customer does EBAY search it will appear on the 1st page anyway.

P.S.   Love your Japanese vases...

Funny thing is I provided what I thought was a very straightforward answer to this question. Apparently eBay didn't like my answer and took it down in about 15 minutes.

I see a lot of posters answer questions by saying "There is no one from eBay here". If nothing else it shows that eBay actually does watch what we say

Promoted listing standard is good enough. If your in a flooded category you need suggested ad rate at least. I hear some are trying 40% ad rate to get seen first. But it really depends what your selling as to how much you need to promote it. Some just do a flat 2% standard promoted. Others like the suggested rate.

there isn't, but ebay employs moderators who take down posts and close threads, this thread should have been closed for being a duplicate.

There is absolutely someone from ebay watching these posts.  I have been restricted twice from using this forum for something I said that they didn't like.

again, that was a moderator who restricted your access to the forum, it's happened to me several times for something I've said that is "vialotion" of forum rules.

That is the same thing I said, although a bit more wordy. And eBay took it down.

Which is what I said. And they did not delete the entire thread, just my post.

Call them what you want, but it still amounts to eBay watching what we say and removing anything that goes against their mantra.

I think 40% is a nice round number.
If that doesn't get results, try 60%.
That should work.
Good luck on that "profit" thing.

@stevemartin60 ,

PLS or PLA are optional. I think most sellers already know that. Do you realize all search engines like Google, Bing, Yahoo, and etc charge fees similar to PLA.

So if you want your website to show up higher in the search results you will mostly have to pay ad fees. No different here on eBay my friend.

@joliztoyco ,

As a eBay shareholder the larger the percentage the better. Bring it on!
