What influences external site views?

I was averaging 500 external site views a day and on may 5th it dropped to 50 and has been in the 50-120 range every since then.

Bots were viewing from search engines etc. Ebay is fixing it so that the number you see is 'real people' going on ebay and looking.

Also; ebay does advertise items, so if someone is on Google and then 'clicks' it to 'see it' on ebay, that is external.

That makes sense, I didn't really seem to see any sort of drop in sales related to it, I had two underperforming days since then, but my new listings were pretty boring and mundane for my categories the past week, so that is understandable.
