For the past week, the views of my items have dropped considerably, almost 75%. Has anyone else experienced this. It was like someone turned them off all of a sudden.

I starting to wonder if this site is even seen anywhere anymore? Hmm

Were you switched to the new views system @exeterox? You should have seen a pop up when your account was switched over.
Instead of displaying all time views, it's showing how many views listings received in the last 30 days. They also removed the false view counts (ie: search engine bots).
The view count is a hyperlink. You can click on that and a pop-up will appear so you can see a time period longer than 30 days if you want.
There was a discussion about this earlier today if you want to read it (link).

Hi, I’ve been selling the same items on eBay for almost 3 years. Had almost 15,000 views on one item (steel lawn edger blades) and now showing only 118 views. I lost almost 40,000 views on my 4 edger blade listings and am very disappointed in eBay for not maintaining my listings records.

Don’t like new “views” — much prefer old fashioned “All time views”

I see you sell cards too. The card market is in a downturn, the big boys and full time guys have all adjusted their prices downwards and you probably haven't. I went from bad sales at the beginning of the month to being en route to the best month ever because I started researching my card selling prices better and not relying on slowly raising card prices to just sell all my cards for me, that doesn't work when prices are falling.

Yeah, That's what I think it's a mask, to hide Low Site Traffic, think about this if before you go to bad at night you Note that you have 400 views on an item, the next morning you see 364 views, how do you know whether you got any new views overnight, it's a mystery to me, lol

Why can't they just remove False Counts and leave it as it was

Same issue here, also noticed when I search my items they seem to appear and disappear when hitting the search button, also the number of items in that category drops and increases everytime when pressing search option.

I never bother to look at views, it's sales that matter. My sales across 4 eBay stores have remained consistent, and actually a bit better in the last few weeks. I think the view count has nothing to do with anything.

Ebay changed how they are reporting views, your views are down because almost all sellers views are down on all platforms. You now are shown current views, no BOT views, bots may still view, but you are not given that information as bots are rarely buyers. You might also get a watcher, means item is being watched, may not have been viewed, may had been seen during scrolling and the person wants to see if and when it is sold, or might want to be sent a offer at a lower price. Most sellers are down on all platforms due to economy. Knowing more current views, seeing none on an item you can change that listing and might get it sold faster. We list 50 or so a week, any item that does not have views the first week gets revised second week. Don't know if it will not get sold, but know I know what items need revising before they stay listed and unsold for months. My sales are down about thirty percent since March, listings have increased, I run sales, just have too many clothes listed, clothes will usually sell slow unless you have value vintage, high end brands or denim good brands and styles. Things are looking up for the economy and your sales should go up. Good Selling!
