In the past, something automated used to open an unpaid item case after 48hrs and shortly after that the transaction was canceled, the buyer got a ding and I could relist.
That does not happen for me anymore I have to spend days messaging the seller (usually with no reply) and then manually cancelling the order and having to start from scratch to relist it.
Did something change or did I just turn this automated process off somehow?

@1tuna wrote:I did an experiment 2 months ago. I had one that was well into the 5th day and sent an invoice and immediately canceled. I tried a few weeks later at the 3-4th day and sent an invoice. I had to wait an additional 96 hours to cancel
I think it does reset the clock. others have said its only for combined listings that resets it.
I like doing it manually since I have some bidders build a pile over 10-12 days and get combined shipping invoices
I mostly do auctions
Interesting. It must be in only certain cases. I don't do auctions, so mine were not auctions, nor were they combined invoices, which I only have on occasion. I have NEVER experienced the clock being reset. Sure would be nice to know what set of criteria resets the clock.

@simply-the-best-for-you, @1tuna
Thank you both for the validation(s). 🤔
Thankfully, I haven't had to cancel for non-payment in some time. I am not one to send invoices unless there is a 'combined listing' sale, and then I only send the one. Most of my sales are 1 item, and I let eBay handle the payment reminder 'thing'.
But admittedly, I did think an invoice reset the clock. And I'm hoping for no 'experiments', obviously. 🤞
I just flashed on the old Tootsie Pop commercial with Mr. Owl. "1, 2, 3... Crunnnch." The world may never know. 🤣

@mtgraves7984 Yeah, I often don't send invoices either, but these last 2 were higher FB people, so I did. I'm hoping for no experiments either LOL. It seems like it may be Auctions or Combined Listings where it applies based on @1tuna experience. It's weird to me that it resets it under any circumstances, to be honest.
