I'm not sure but having Ivory in title could cause eBay to remove your listing.

Didn't you post the same thing about some yarn?

Is this just a way to get people to look at the listings?

Have a great day.

Hi @titaniumnotes sorry to bear sad tidings. I am surprised it hasn’t been removed yet by eBay since it implemented a global ban on ivory sales on its platform in 2008.  Below is the policy.

https://www.ebay.com/help/policies/prohibited-restricted-items/animal-products-policy?id=5046#:~:tex...

There was an exception for antique ivory dated pre-1900 but that does not apply to your item.

I see you have ended it now, but anyway:

You need a lot more detail in your listing descriptions. I browsed several and did not even see basic dimensions given. Length? Width? I do see it described as 4/4, but I don't know how clear that would be to all your potential buyers. Key details of construction? You have a seller note of "Nothing wrong except the piece on the frog is broken off and missing," but the one-sentence description does not elaborate on that flaw at all; in fact it doesn't even mention it.

This is a classic example of the old guideline: Take your photos as if there was no description, and write your description as if there were no photos.

Another listing, "Old/Antique violin 4/4 neck scroll, finger board," is dimly lit and does not appear to have any full view of the entire incomplete piece. Photographing it against a tape measure can help to show its true size, and adding some basic dimensions to the description can help potential buyers determine whether it would be a useful purchase for them.

In general, put yourself in your buyer's place and tell them what they would want to know about what you're selling. This does not mean to use an AI description; put this in your own words: describe the item and why you believe it's worth selling, and why it would be worth your buyer's money to purchase. Good luck.

I would list "other uses" for a violin bow, as most people don't own violins.

I wonder what other uses for the bow people could use it for. Maybe a wall hanger. It's an advanced bow, but snake wood is affordable.

A high end snake wood bow sounds like a mid range pernambuco. A mid range pernambuco is your 1k-2k bow. I will put this in add.
