What are ebays best selling toy and game items? Just wondering. Thinking about Christmas sales even though its June.

Funko POP figures are very popular and always a nice gift. Most are very reasonably priced as well.

It's Barbie. But good luck getting something listed without a competitior trying to take you down via VERO.

You have to be kind of careful with Funko POPs. Some take off, some don't go at all. Sellers who stay on top of the market price them dynamically, adjusting their prices constantly according to demand.
The thing about the hot Christmas toys: By the time they become apparent, it's going to be awfully hard to get any at a viable price unless you're a toy industry insider. Given that the OP admits that he is lazy, and that he has shown a dubious ability to distinguish his rear end from a hole in the ground, I doubt that he has the energy or connections to get ahead of the curve and capitalize.

True.
I can say that I am in my mid-40's and still a sucker for POPS.
LEGOS are always a solid seller. I used to buy sets I thought would go up in value and sell them when they were retired.
Easy money, especially for LEGO STAR WARS.

Also, regarding LEGOS, you can buy many of the christmas sets now while off season and then sell them just before christmas when people want them for their decorations.

Get back to basics with board games. The classics never go out of style.
On a cold winter day, where the snow is keeping you in doors, that is what my family always turned to.

That's true, but competition online (not just here) for selling boardgames is insanely intense. There's no way you can compete with Amazon or Target or Wally World when it comes to mass market games (unless you're big or enterprising or well-connected enough to source well enough to match the big guys).
Even when it comes to hobby market boardgames, you're going to have a hard time competing against Troll 'n Toad and the other big online retailers (including Amazon). I know this from experience, alas.
As a small seller, your only chance to make a big score selling boardgames is to get ahead of the curve and sell whatever is the hot new Euro game while supply and demand are out of whack. That requires closely monitoring the boardgaming hobby and having good connections so you can get supply.

Yes, if you were the first to sell beanie babies, and those animals that popped out of an egg, yup you cleaned up. But unfortunately, everyone is reading those predictors of the next big thing and trying to get it here as soon as possible. Very difficult to be exclusive nowadays. And these items become short lived once parents see they do not live up to the hype.
So competition is everywhere.
As far as Walmart, I was in there the other day and their toy section is severely lacking. I did not see much of the classic items.
In my family, we like to do puzzles together. Went there and the selection was not there.
With TRU gone, I do wonder wgo is going to pick up the slack, certainly not anyone in my area.
All I can say is that when I do my Christmas shopping, I do take notice of what is in other people's carts. My children have not been small for a while, so I need help with the multitude of nieces, newphews, grandkids.
And that is what I see in their carts - monopoly, clue, sorry, puzzles. The ones that last long after the fads are gone.

Yes, legos and lincoln logs. Too bad they cheapened them so badly that they are no longer made of wood.
