I Would like to block someone on ebay. What happens when i block? Can they see my listings or when they bid what does the message say?

They can see your listings. When they hit submit to bid or buy they will get a message saying you do not want to deal with them.

Yes they still see your listings, but, they don't have the contact member feature available. There is no message.

I'm sure there is a message. I don't think that the 'contact member' feature disappears either but they will get a message if they do try to contact them.

Nothing happens until they try to buy your item or message you. Then they get a message saying they can't.

I thought I had tested this with someone before, but it might have been just the messaging feature, not the purchasing feature. Maybe ask someone on the boards with whom you're cyber-acquainted to add you to their Block Buyers List and see what happens. Looks like all of us are using buying/posting ids. LOL!

Slight clarification:
They will only see the notice when they try to send a message if the seller also blocks comms from blocked buyers.
I don't block comms from blocked buyers, so people on my Best Buddy List will not see a blocked notice unless they attempt to make a purchase.

Good point. Thanks for clarifying 🙂
I don't stop blocked buyers from contacting me either so I should have thought of that.

There IS a message & it says something to the effect of 'this seller has blocked you from purchasing'. It didn't used to be so pointed, but now it's pretty clear as to what's going on, prompting many of them to write the seller & ask why they're blocked.
But like others have said, they won't see the message until they try to purchase.
