Now If my auction listings don't sell they no longer automatically relist up to 8 time at no charge. I have to manually relist them (What A Pain) and it takes away from my free 200 monthly no insertion fee listings! Anyone else experiencing the same issue?

Auto-relist up to 8x is only available to new sellers. If you no longer have that option then your sales volume has increased enough that eBay no longer considers you a new seller.

Yep.it just hit me today. No only that, I blew through my 250 free insertions per month and decided to pay for about 50 more @ .35 ea. And pushed the button for the 8x more, and now they aren’t re-listing either. What can be done about this? I really count on the 8x re-listing.

Are there ever official announcements regarding these changes? On dot ca sellers are reporting the promo listings for November are missing. Not seeing anything reported on dot com.

This problem has already been discussed on several threads to no definite conclusion. eBay seems to be making the 8 relists for auctions available to select sellers in a random manner. An eBay CS has told several users that this perk is available only to new sellers to help them get going, but we have seen long-standing sellers get it too. My guess is it's controlled by an eBay bot that looks at your current and past sales history and decides if you get it or keep it. Your recent sales have been good so perhaps the bot has decided you no longer need help. It really seems to be a hit-and-miss thing.

It really is crazy - a penalty for being successful in collectibles with the auction format! There is an 'easy' workaround - abandon your email account, and start up again with a new email address and a new eBay account and the 8X will 'magically' reappear. You have to stay 'unsuccessful', and hold sales under around $1500 a month to hold onto the 8X relist feature - and yes, there is a eBay bot measuring your sales $ and your items sold - stay under the radar! If you must grow, then open a second or a third account. They do not seem to check across multiple selling accounts.

I don't think that's correct. I'm not a new seller but I can auto-relist auctions up to 8 times.

I have spoken on the phone with eBay on the about the auto-relist 8 times several times. The best I understand is they offer it from time to time and they can turn it off at will without fulfilling the agreement.
I think if they offer it to you then they should honor the agreement and allow the 8 relists. It is so rude when they cut it off after a few relists or the free relists are all of a sudden deducted from your monthly allotment of listings.
In the past I have been charge for the free auto-relists. I had to call to undue the charges.
I have been using the option for a few months after not using it for many months. It has been working fine but I know it can end at any time without notice.

Let me tell you I am NOT happy about this. I had no warning and it also is a pain to have to manually relist everything. Maybe they are trying to make us all go to Buy It Now instead of auctions ?

This was a freebie perk that most of us didn't get. The last thing anyone should depend upon for anything is freebies handed out for nothing - they're free for a reason.
ETA: This is like the free list up to 3 times that eBay was gifting some sellers for fixed price items a while back. Most of us didn't get those, either, but when they stopped doing it, there was a lot of crying and moaning from those who had gotten these free gifts and didn't anymore.

No need for auto relist. Ebay has upgraded you and now you are a member of the special seller's club where you get 250 free a month.

ebay is run by idots that want to take away great features and categories even if it costs them money.

I have discussed this at length with eBay a few times. I received a written response a couple of years ago.
It is a promotion that is turned on and off at eBays discretion based on a compilated formula that is use. I have had it turned off and then after a while of limited sales it is turned back on.
I do not have a problem that they discontinue the promotion. I have a problem that they offer you the promotion, you agree to accept the promotion and then eBay takes away the promotion before it has completed its agreed upon term. On top of this sometimes (not always), the "FREE" auto relist is deducted from your remaining "FREE LISTINGS".
Taking away from you "FREE LISTINGS" may cause you to owe eBay $$ for other listings that automatically relist, such as the 30 day "BUY IT NOW" that automatically relists. You will not know until it happens that you did not have enough "FREE LISTINGS" to account for the automatic "BUY IT NOW" relists.
Here is the official inquire from myself with the response from eBay.

A couple of months ago I inquired about a better way of using the function Auto Relist up to 8 Times for Auctions. Since I made this inquiry, my account has been tampered with and the function removed, put back on and removed again.
Today I had hundreds of listings ended, not auto relisted and they still had 4 and 5 listings to go.
All I get from your on-line staff is rhetoric and rationalization and made to feel it is somehow my fault.
I asked for the Policy/Rule that supports the information they are providing me, and they are unable to provide anything.
The only thing I have ever read about the Auto-Relist up to 8 times function is what is available on the listing page. There is nothing on that page that says it will be turned on and off at the whim of eBay. In fact, there is nothing to state any conditions that eBay may decide you are no longer eligible to use it.
If you are going to disallow a person from using the functions provided by eBay, then why would eBay not notify a person of this decision.
Thank You
