This is my first time selling on eBay. I sold a new and working computer on Ebay about 20 days ago. The buyer stated that the computer didn't work and she requested a return with a list of reasons why. I accepted the return but then the buyer closed the return and demanded that I give her a full refund. She also stated that she was keeping the computer. She then said that she had spent money to 'fix' the computer and 'was getting Ebay involved.' She wants to keep the computer and I would have to refund her money so she could get reimbursement for the repairs made. Is it possible for her to still get a refund? Can she still open a case against me? If she 'gets eBay involved' what happens net? What should I do? Again, this is my fist time selling on Ebay so I don't really know much about cases that can be opened against sellers.

The closed Dispute cannot be reopened.
You are not required to refund without a return (even if your policy is No Returns you can still demand a return).
"Fixing" the computer means it is no longer in the condition it was sent, and even if she could reopen the Dispute, which she can't, she would lose.
She can still Dispute through Paypal
Paypal demands that the disputed item be returned to the seller (if requested) and the Buyer pays for the return.
I am not sure about "original condition" when PP is involved, mostly because the buyer usually gives up when they are told to pay for the return.
No return, you win, no refund.
She might try to do a chargeback through the credit card she might have used with PP.
But that would be handled through PP and again, you can demand the return in original condition at the buyer's expense.
So.
No return. No refund.
Not in original condition. No refund.
You are being bullied.
Stop communicating, but keep all those eBay Messages. If she was sending your emails directly, copy and paste them into an eBay Message and send them back to her with a polite refusal to play her games.
Because the laptop was not returned before you closed the original eBay Dispute and because you have modified the laptop, I cannot consider a refund.
Then put her on your Blocked Bidder List and ignore her future eBay messages. But do read any that come through Paypal and respond to those with the same message about returns and modifications.
Don't be scared. Be firm. You are in the right.

BTW, this is why experienced sellers advise newbies not to sell high value/high fraud items like laptops here early in their selling days.
I'm glad you came to this Board for advice.
The posters here are members like yourself and will help as much as possible. (It can be tough love sometimes, so don't think we won't tell you if you are wrong.)
Personally I would not advise anyone to sell online until they have made at least ten purchases on the venue. On eBay, I would advise not listing high value goods until you have at least 10 DSRs, know what DSRs are, and understand their total uselessness.

If they opened a case on Ebay, then closed it, they can't open another one on Ebay.
They can file a claim on Pay Pal, but they would have pay the return shipping.
As the other poster mentioned, don't know if the item has to be sent back in the original condition or not with Pay Pal.
Being a new seller, I wouldn't even think about selling a computer on Ebay, to many scammers.
