Well, Ebay Finally Got Me. GTC Fiasco

Well it took Since March 18th, and hours of WASTED time BABYSITTING listings on my main selling account (not this one), but last week, due to a death in the family, I had less time to babysit my listings, and to end them from relisting before they FREAKING relist automatic through this Good till cancelled NIGHTMARE, and I missed the fact that a huge amount of listings were ending......and I just realized, not only did it eat all 50 of my September listings, it also racked up over $50 in insertion fees.

Since March, I had been able to stop it each time, but everyone is human.....

I can't even begin to say how sour I am to ebay and THIS particular change, not to mention all the others, but this one is almost maliced.

Well, that's many new Christmas listings I won't be adding in September, as I don't have my 50 monthly any more, as they were eaten up, and now, all the seasonal summer stuff I DID NOT WANT TO RELIST is listed through October.  Nice going ebay.

It's sad when a company has sunk this low.

I've tried to end listings in bulk but it says it is not available and I'm forced to do it one at a time.  Can you be more specific as to the method and have you used it.

Thanks.

With the GTC mandate that eBay rolled out, they should also provide an option to "End All GTC Listings Now" for situations such as your, or just to make it easier for sellers to end listings.

Gregg, the option to end all listings.....or all f/p listings is quite easy..........I thnk it's 2 checkmarks and an apply.......

It's Greg with one G.  Smiley Wink

Since you said "I think" I'll venture to guess you're not sure?  If there's a process to cancel ALL of your GTC listings simultaneously, can you provide the steps or screen shots?

DItto. It is not hard at all to end all listings. All you have to do it do it.

@luckythewinner

Can you please provide the step-by-step process (with screenshots if possible), to show the OP and others how to end ALL GTC listings simultaneously (in-case of a family issue or unplanned time away from eBay)?

I've seen many here post the same concern and they have to end each GTC listing one-by-one.  I also know sellers who report the same thing.

Click that top check box on the left hand side.  Go to the "Actions" dropdown and select "End."  Click.  That will end all of the listings on that page of listings.

Thanks, helpful if it works.  Have you ever ended listings in bulk?  If so did it work properly every time?

Any other sellers here who can also end GTC listings in bulk (without any problems, or with problems if that's what you're experiencing)?

Just trying to gauge how well the process works.

No, I have never actually tried doing it for myself-- I have a store so I simply put it on vacation mode if I am going to be out of town or otherwise unable to ship for a while.  I only have ever ended a few listings at a time here and there.

Makes sense. You cant buy if you cant sell.

Nope, there has been no increase we see with the GTC either, for some significant decrease.

We end them one by one because yes there seems to be no way to do it in bulk. I am sure there is a reason for that.

Great, punish your peers - other sellers - for the platform’s policy.

Thanks for the additional info.  What I'm seeing reported often are sellers having difficulty ending multiple listings and having to do one at a time.

Vacation mode is good when you know you're on vacation and will return on a set date, but with family matters and health issues, many times there isn't a known return date.

That's how I've been ending my listings:  check them all and hit "end."  Works fine, but it shouldn't ever have been necessary--hate ebay's new ploy of automatically relisting OUR merchandise so they can extort extra fees from the unwary.  Smiley Frustrated

Re: Well, Ebay Finally Got Me. GTC Fiasco

Ending listings in bulk works just fine if you do it as the screenshot provided shows you. That screenshot page comes up from clicking on your active listings BTW. Then just select all you want to end and it works great!! The listings then all show up in your unsold listings so you can choose which ones to relist - also in bulk.
